Anyone who doesn't think this viking is good enough I want to stop supporting my club because they clearly don't know shit, go support Woolwich, you'll fit in better there.

You know, we're all entitled to our own opinions, it's just a shame some of them are worthless.

Look it up in the dictionary, and you'll see PEH = BEAST

Love this guy. Works so hard and is a mentality monster. I dont care that he doesnt have twinkle toes or dancing feet. Leave that to the others, give me blood sweat and tears all day everyday.

He will run himself into the ground and still find a way to run himself even deeper into the ground!

My guy

His midfield partnership with Roddy Bentancur is really starting to pay us dividends. The longer they play alongside each other, the even better they'll get, and now with Bissouma getting more and more game time, we're soon going to have a wonderful midfield, the equal of any in te EPL.

He's showing his attacking quality that we saw in the Euros now. 4 goals so far, unlucky with his effort off the bar and the one that went just over late against Bournemouth. With Kulusevski out and Son struggling Hojbjerg has really stepped up in the final 3rd.

Fantastic fitness. Not that speedy but that defender last night could have caught him easily and slid him for the tackle - he was too knackered and the Viking was unstoppable..big heart, intelligent and loves the club...class

Him and Benta have basically got their best club scoring seasons already. If you want a positive, that's it.

can't stop rewatching the goal, not sure i've ever seen a ball hit like that before. had no right being that sweet and powerful considering where he was, just a ridiculous finish.

He also has a World Cup coming up, but he plays every game with the same intensity and he bleeds for the club. Huge huge admiration and respect for that alone, to say nothing of the increase in goals and assists from him this seaason

Not saying he's perfect, but he's done brilliantly this season, and has shown (time and again) that when given the chance, he'll finish or play a key pass

He should be complemented with the right players, not replaced. Love the guy

Love this guy
But imo Harry should be skipper if not Hugo.
Kane is not a leader in the same way Højbjerg or Dier are. In my opinion CFs do not make good captains (and rarely make good managers) as they are focused 100% on scoring goals. Seeing Kane’s speeches in the dressing room on the Amazon series showed how ineloquent he is. He’s our best player but should not be captain.

Love this description of Højbjerg in the Guardian … (in an excellent article on Bentancur:

“… the eye is more often drawn to his grizzled midfield partner Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, a player who tears around the pitch with the sweaty frenzy of a man being chased by wild dogs while wearing bacon shorts.”

I reckon we'll see more attacking from PEH and Bentancur if Bissouma or Skipp are bolstering the midfield. Both of them have been far more aggressive getting forward with 3 in CM. The problem's going to be when Kulusevski, Sonny and Richarlison are back in the frame when I expect Conte to revert straight back 343, the formation that saw us frequently overrun in midfield and struggling to keep hold of the ball. Bit of a dilemma for Conte, but I'd prefer 352 to be our default setup in tougher games with the option to switch up to 343 if we need a goal or 2.

Will probably be an unpopular opinion but i think this guy can’t play in a midfield two.

I regularly see him lunge in front of the opposition, miss the ball and then expose our defence. He doesn’t look around to pick up opposition danger players and instead watches the ball.

He has some qualities for sure and in a three he’d be fine but if Bentacur is playing in a two then i’d rather see Bissouma starting.

He’s played in a 2 90% of the time since Conte joined and been consistently fantastic in all aspects of the game? Before this Bentancur spell of carrying the team, for me he was our POTS, and I still feel he’s clearly been our second best player this season. Covers a ton of ground, has put up big G/A numbers this season, is our best CM at finding key passes and creatively, is nearly always available. And that’s before mentioning his leadership qualities and his partnership with Bentancur being a critical one in the team. I’ve accepted he’ll always be disrespected (generally by the fanbase, not you specifically). It is just really baffling how he isn’t universally seen as one of our 5 best players, and probably ranks higher in terms of importance. For me irreplaceable.

I agree he has a some good qualities and does give his best.

If you watch the highlights of the games against Liverpool and Leeds you can see him trying to nip infront of the opposition and getting turned. This then leads to goals conceded.

This is ok in a three man midfield but when it’s a two and the other midfielder isn’t a defensive one then it’s killer.
