I think you’ve missed the context / purpose of the discussion. The fact is Jose knows what his current first XI is, that has clearly been demonstrated by his team selection since the restart, and it can definitely be improved on.

I think you’ve missed the context / purpose of the discussion. The fact is Jose knows what his current first XI is, that has clearly been demonstrated by his team selection since the restart, and it can definitely be improved on.

We’ve 1 right back and 1 left back... those two were always going to play. Likewise in the middle we’ve only had Sissoko and Winks as experienced central midfielders so they’ve been a given also. Jose himself has said he can’t really change the team as we simply have no alternatives.

looks like this deal will be done hopefully sooner than later ! Some people might not be keen but the fact is it’s a weakness in the team that is going to be improved! I feel we need another cm iswell though winks and sissoko just aren’t up to it

Pretty sure Sky broke the news of Hojberg back in Jan that he was one for the summer before anyone else. They were the first to report any interest in Gedson iirc. I think people are taking these tiers a bit too seriously ...

I actually think that signing Hojberg could free Winks up and let him play more.
Winks is a decent player and always wants the ball, having someone defensive alongside him could free him up to play his natural game, which I think is a lot better than he gets credit for.
