This kid will be our version of Yaya for years to come.

He has such a bright future ahead of him. Bissouma got MOTM but it was an even tie for me with Sarr.

Bissouma and Maddison came to life in the 2nd half but this kid bossed the midfield from minute one ☝️

Could only winner this once. He has such a high ceiling.

You can just see when a player has it, from a young age. That intangible thing that makes a footballer a star. He has all the tools you would want in a world class box to box midfielder and with Ange above him, the sky really is the limit.

I must admit, Bissouma recovered the ball from United in some dangerous positions in the second half, but Sarr was up and down the field for the full 90, constantly showing for the ball and trying to make things happen. He is the perfect fit alongside these two.

A very direct midfielder taking up spaces in the pockets, being in and around the striker making driving runs beyond them, making up that extra man and holding spaces in the box in for rebounds. It's a boring parallel but that's Lampard's playing style all over, at least in terms of attacking and wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets 10+ goals this season if his finishing is decent. Him, Bentancur, Bissouma, Maddison, GLC, Hojbjerg, Skipp is a very strong group of players when everyone's fit and healthy

Great stuff Sarr, keep it up
Another step towards fulfilling the prophecy

What a game this young man had today. Pacey, strong on the ball, ,lovely goal. If he keeps playing like that he will be starting every game.....

Absolutely superb today. Looks like he is playing with much more freedom and given licence to go out and express himself. Sweeping up defensively, carrying the ball upfield with real purpose and capped off with a good finish. Still young and lots to learn but on the basis of that performance, potential is massive.

His physique and running style remind me very much of Vieira. Today he showed shades of his ability to. That knack of carrying the ball forward and being able to getaway from the oppo where it doesn't look like he is necessarily busting a gut but his large strides just seems to take him further away. Also that ability to reach balls where you might think he is second favourite. Sounds like Bissouma has taken him under his wing those two in the midfield has the making of a solid partnership.

Love how he bust a gut to get in the box for his goal. Obviously encouraged to do so by Ange but still great to see

Think it’s something we’ll see from the not Maddison 8 in the team, like we saw Skipp do vs Barca. Sarr had an almost identical chance to the one he scored in the first half too. It’s good to see.

Massive part of Ange’s system. The wide men tend to stay wide and make the pitch big, allows space for others in the build up but means the midfielder has to get in and around the box.
