That is fair enough but pick your arguments.

Calling a player a beast is purely based on physical ability. First 'beast' I ever saw on a football pitch was Jaap Stam!

I think it's pretty simple, it's two different worlds and contexts colliding. Football is very primal in a positive way and so for example, saying Romero was an absolute animal at the back yesterday, is a positive thing. On the other hand throughout history, in order to justify it's behaviours, empires have consistently made natives and tribes they've conquered out to be essentially feral beasts as a way to convince themselves that they were doing the right thing and have basically eviscerated the humanity from cultures. This even happened to the natives of Britain by the Roman Empire, they loved a claim of ritualistic sacrifice with whoever they conquered. Unfortunately that behaviour was actually more recent than we care to admit so it's still quite raw for some. So I think it's quite hard to what I'd call context switch so easily because it's still raw. No harm was meant but just being away that it's difficult to hear for some allows for different approaches. Nobody is responsible for others feelings and if our intentions are good we shouldn't feel bad but it's good to be aware to avoid potential conflict.

There were times yesterday when Sarr absolutely destroyed Antony.

Really don't see it with Antony especially for that crazy £80-90m fee. Always a bit vary of wide players who are so one footed and haven't got the pace/physicality to beat an opponent and always end up checking their runs and become predictable. Pepe at Arsenal is another one. Can usually manage these type of players out of games. He has a good shot on him on that left peg when in range but think he is another one where Utd have had their pants pulled down on.

Felt that it was a bit of a coming of age performance for Sarr yesterday. With Bissouma running the show from deep it allowed Sarr to put his best attributes to the test.

His athleticism is unique in a way that he is so gangly! There were two tackles in particular yesterday right infront of Ange where he used his “longness” to good use and stopped a counter.

His stamina is excellent, and he is a very tidy player on the ball. He really could turn into an excellent modern box to box midfielder with a great goal return.

He is also just a very good footballer, nice close control, doesn’t try to do what he can’t and allows the more creative players to undertake that task.

Brilliant game by the young man.

Knowing where to draw the line is a fucking nightmare, but Stamford is not making up that it is a very real thing that black players are described as "beasts," "monsters" and similar to an extent that should make you feel uneasy if you take a step back. And it very much is in line with racist rhetoric throughout history.

I'm not advocating for banning words to describe players of certain ethnicities, but you don't have to be a dick about it, theShiznit, and purposely make yourself more stupid than you are with the likes of your gazelle-comment.

Instead, it is very much something worth being mindful of since people have negative reactions to those kinds of descriptions.
