I like PEH but he seems a terrier, chasing the ball all over the pitch to try and win it back. It would be nice if we had the option of a pure DM who can sit and shield, I'm not sure PEH is that, I maybe wrong. I don't think Dier is that either now, surely he's now a central defender. I suppose Jose knows best and that's why he is one of the world's greatest managers whilst I earn peanuts working in an office.
Now that Sangare has gone I’d like Amadou Diawara, but possibly too many changes in one window. Logically bringing someone like him would mean losing Sissoko ,fine by me possibly next time around.

Fuck me that makes me wince. Fucking leg breaker which you'd expect to see in a pub league, not the professional level.

Shocking. Went in two-footed to hurt someone. Deserves a longer ban imo. You can tell by the Norwich players' reactions how bad of a tackle it was. Professionals are quick to recognize what is okay and what is way, way over the line.

Not had chance to see much championship at all, but still trying to follow Skipp's progress.

With the game time he is getting, does it look like he will make the step up into our first team next year?

not sure you can fit hojbjerg and skipp into the same side apart from when trying to close out a game.

he'd be a good squad option but it would be better for his development to continue playing every week. if norwich get promoted it wouldn't be the worst idea to keep him there for another season and then come back ready to fight for a first team place, he'd still only be 21/22 by that point. he's doing well for norwich but i did worry for him a bit when he was subbed off in three straight games and each time his replacement ended up scoring the winning or equalising goal. it wasn't a case of him doing badly, just that as the most defensive midfielder he's often the one taken off when they're chasing a goal. he has started every game though and done well on the whole, can't really ask for much more given this is his first run of games at senior level.

Nice summary, good to know how he's doing.

Whilst I do think there could be problems fitting both him and Hojbjerg in the team, I do think he could be better than Winks in that partnership. Skippy is a bit more forceful and forward thinking with his passing than Winks.

So perhaps, when Jose wants us to be more compact in bigger games he may wish to have two CMs who are stronger defensively but who can both shift the ball quicker to start counter attacks.

Maybe Skipp's problem is that Norwich are a possession based team and when defences drop deeper his strengths are less effective and he's not a creative type either.
