A few clips from Skipp go to 1:23 and see him do what he is good at, then go to 3:57 and you will see that Skipp passing can be a bit underrated and he does a few good things after the Long pass.

Looking at our squad now that a Striker seems locked to sign, Defensive Mid is the only position that to me looks to not have 2 clear options. So would we be able to bring Skipp back early from Norwich?

I guess we can play Winks, Sissoko, Dier there is PEH gets injured.

I can see why we loaned him. But I still think it was the wrong decision. We should have at least waited until tonight because if we get through then he would have had plenty of game time with us imo and would have eventually usurped Winks and Sissoko in the side.

I’ve advocated Sangare many time and he went recently for under £10 million somtjats dead. There was a rumour earlier this week that we were considering a bid for Amadou Diawara Who is rumoured to be up for £19million or as Levy would think 50p and a packet of crisps.

100% agree that DM depth looks like our possible achilles heel at the moment, but I think the loan will do Skipp's long term development a lot of good. He is talented but has by no means been flawless for Norwich so far. It's a tough position and probably better he works out some of the kinks at another team.

Let him play 30+ matches in the Championship this season so we have a proper DM next season, no point in bringing him back sooner for the handful of matches he might play.

Agree but think we would struggle to bring in another non HG player now.

It would be a horrendous move for both Skipp and the club. What potential loan club would ever trust us if we renege on a deal so quickly?

Skipp is getting regular games at a good side, let him develop. We have already seen the careers of several young players stunted by not letting them go on loan.

My understanding was Skipp requested the loan prior to signing his new deal, Jose wanted to keep him but respected Skipps wishes. Mourinho was no doubt encouraged by Skipps determination to go and prove himself which he has thus far hence the plaudits great move all round.A classic case of if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I don’t think he would have gotten plenty of game time at all. He didn’t last season when we didn’t even have Hojberg, he sat on the bench while Winks and Sissoko were awkwardly cosplaying as DMs. Under another manager maybe, but Jose clearly didn’t see him as ready, so loaning him out to get the experience he needs was absolutely the right call.

Loaning him was exactly the right thing to do, he needed to have a run of matches to find his feet and improve his mentality and footballing ability. We can't complain that we aren't doing the right thing when it comes to our young players now otherwise they'll end up like KWP or Onomah.

Remember Norwich vs Derby is on Sky football tomorrow at 12.30 so you can see how Skipp is doing.

Working out well so far, we could do much worse next season than with a midfield of Lo Celso - (an improved and more experienced) Skipp - Ndombele.

Again, perhaps too many changes might disrupt the squad .Lots of new faces so far and with a centreback hopefully cominanother DM might be too much.Id worry if PEH got injured though.

I like PEH but he seems a terrier, chasing the ball all over the pitch to try and win it back. It would be nice if we had the option of a pure DM who can sit and shield, I'm not sure PEH is that, I maybe wrong. I don't think Dier is that either now, surely he's now a central defender. I suppose Jose knows best and that's why he's one of the world's greatest managers whilst I earn peanuts working in an office.
