Yeah, he might not be the finished article but neither are we and his potential is massive. It was going for young, unproven talents with massive upside like Modric, Bale, Walker and Son that got us to where we are and these are exactly the types of signings we need to be making to have any hope of catching the money-doped clubs.

Definitely worth getting excited about I reckon, even if Tapsoba was the 'right now' option.

Announce this one before we fo on tour and I'm really impresses with our window so far. To go into the first pre season game with Vicario, VdV, Maddison and Soloman all done is so good. Also completing Kulusevski on a full deal. Not complete yet but looking very good and refreshed.

Is this just semantics - i.e. they are discussing terms to get to a number without a formal opening bid having been made?

We very rarely seem to bid for players publically in the same way a Utd transfer saga seems to go, so not surprised
