Feels like quite an Ange-style left field choice - hope it's that at least!

The kind of player that can split the opposition in two like a sword through baby.

It's a bit harsh on Shakhtar and a very delicate thing - let's hope we've gone about this in the right, uh, spirit.

I don't think we are any worse than last season for home grown quota at present.

Madison has come in and replaced winks, but he wasn't in our squad anyway, so an extra home grown player really.

Vicario will replace lloris, so no difference.

Solomon will replace Danjuma or Moura, again no difference.

If we get rid of Dier, Sanchez ect and bring in one home grown and one not then again one up on home grown. So would be again better off than last year.
I think we've just got too many players full stop, especially with no Europe. And other clubs will know that when bidding. Where there's multiple teams interested in a given player we'll get a decent price. For the others I think we're just going to have to bite the bullet and accept we're not going to get much for them.

It's a weird one this. For all his highlights I just don't think he's got much evidence that he can consistently put that together into being a high quality attacking player. Having had a looked through his data it's....really weird.
He dribbles loads (which is good) at a high success rate (which is good) and gets an alright number of shots off (which is good) but creates very few chances for his teammates off the back of those dribbles. I know there is a school of thought which says dribbling basically can't be taught so if you can do that then a good coach can round out enough of the rest of your game.

Then its whether it's worth using a squad space on him. We will have 17 non-HG slots so he will take one of those. We are already over that amount so clubs buying off of us know we have to sell. I worry that getting another non-HG player will weaken our negotiations for both selling the likes of Reguilon and Sanchez but also if we are trying to buy HG players like Tosin. Also, when putting the squad together do we need a third player who's best position is left wing? Will we be able to give him enough minutes to continue developing him?

If we are managing to sign him on wages that we can actually shift in the future then financially it's a no brainer but I'm still not sure it's the best 'squad building' we can do.
He really found his form for Fulham and went on a crazy run of scoring 5 games in a row. Ok one of them was a fluke but there were some serious performances in there. He is capable of consistency it just happens that they then obviously tried to make him permanent and he wouldn't commit so as any sensible manager would Silva dropped him and focused on the palyers that were commited.

I also seen some theories that Silva dropped him in order to try and keep him off the radar as much as possible.

So that they wouldn’t have any competition to try and sign him.

Why not go the whole hog? Identify as a teenager and start hanging out at school disco's.
Are school discos even a thing any more?
With schools going all American with proms I assume they've done away with school discos

I'd bloody hope not, but when we are living in an age where 'people' are allowed to whip their cocks out in womens changing rooms despite it making them extremely uncomfortable I do worry.
Lol really, in the Manor Solomon thread?

If he is really good, or better than any similar player we have, why did Shakhtar initially loan him out to Fulham, then later cancelled his contract?

Something doesnt add up.

I think Putin probably had a small role in what happened.

Not sure if you’re serious or just not sure how to search the internet. Ukraine. War. FIFA. Contracts. Etc etc.

Something definitely doesn’t add up. 🤣

In this article Shaktar lost an appeal to CAS in January over cancelled contracts but now lodging an appeal to Brussels and EU. Ukraine is not in EU so don't quite understand that , UK also not in EU any ECJ ruling surely doesn't apply to English clubs so there shouldn't be any problems with signing Solomon.

I think we have circumvented this by arranging the friendly and donating procedes
