Good assessment. I agreeHe's not the answer to all our woes. But he and Lamela made a big difference today with their energy and forward thinking.

I guess when a team isn't functioning the hard workers start to shine a bit more. His energy was infectious today along with Lamela. Fair play to both of them for stepping up. A few fantastic runs from Lucas today, he always takes it just that one step too far but it’s nice to see one of our players try and beat a man instead of always passing backwards or sideways. Bergwijn is a talent but he’s not done too much lately so this is a chance for Lucas to steak his claim now.
Spot onI guess when a team isn't functioning the hard workers start to shine a bit more.
For now, the work rate of Moura and Lamela to compliment Ndombele, Son and Kane could be our best option.
But long term we'll need better.
That's a maybe but at least we had some bottle on the pitch for a change. It's hard to believe that game filled the absolute tripe we've put out in the last few.I guess when a team isn't functioning the hard workers start to shine a bit more.

I really don't think the bit in bold is true. He has pace but he's far from lightning.I’ve always liked Lucas and felt he’s hasn’t had a fair shake at times. One example was starting Dele over him in the CL final. When he’s on it the way he can ghost past players with his turn of pace is unplayable. Yes he could be more clinical with his distribution and finishing but all things considered I would say he’s been 6.5/10 since he’s joined. The .5 added for that hatrick in Amsterdam.
The way he ran through the Albion midfield and defence was rapid. He’s shown his pace is unmatched on a number of occasions. I know it’s historical now however his first goal against Ajax was the best example of how rapid he is, don’t even think Son could’ve latched onto the ball the way Lucas did. That’s why I say he’s unplayable when his pace is utilisedI really don't think the bit in bold is true. He has pace but he's far from lightning.
He also isn't that skilful, far from unplayable.
He works hard and has a good finish. He's a good squad player.
He has very good pace but not electric acceleration. The way he ran through the Albion midfield and defence was rapid. He’s shown his pace is unmatched on a number of occasions. You can say that same thing about every attacker we’ve had between Bale in 2013 and Kane. Even Son can look rather stifled against quality organised defences because - well - they are good and organised. He has very good pace but not electric acceleration.
He does well against weaker sides and teams that give space. But when he plays quality organised defences he offers little. More flat track bully than unplayable.
Was awful today, but I think he was tired he ran his ass off in the last two games and he may not be good enough but I respect he does try
I can't work out how he was one of these ultra skillful Brazilian kids who lots of big European clubs wanted, when in fact he can't pass a football 5 yards and his dribbling is basically him chasing after a series of his own heavy touches. The way he plays you'd think he was almost completely talentless.

Can we not be so cryptic and say what you mean, which usual suspects? So is he being held back by Mourinho or is he limited (the 5 yard square ball seems to trouble him) I just want to check as we're shitting all over the usual suspects ...
