As it stands we’ve 2 goal scorers in Kane and Son, take one or both of them out of the team and where are the goals going to come from? I get the argument for the 3rd forward being more defensive but when utilised offensively they’re still not contributing assists or goals. For me Bale, Moura and Bergwijn aren’t doing anywhere near enough and we can’t rely on them if we’re missing Kane and/or Son.

ps I know we have Vinicius to come in for Kane but it’s the supporting players who aren’t doing enough.

I know signing Bale has been great for the team spirit but he’s a complete shadow of his former self. Whereas Moura works his arse off defensively and I commend him for this but he’s a ‘forward’ and offensively he leaves much to be desired. Bergwijn just doesn’t have that extra bit of quality that we need.

For me and given the loan deal for Bale it has to be 1 or 2 of Bale and/or Moura/Lamela out and an actual goal threat in eg Dybala
Well, the fact that goals are condensed on those two doesn't directly mean that we don't have players who would score if one were out. When Son and Kane are playing they primarily take up those goal scorings roles, and as a self evident fact will score the most. Equally obvious, the rest of the team is less likely to score because the goal production is mainly assigned those two. Take one of Kane/Son out of the team, at it's not a given that number for goals would fall proportionally. Somebody else would step up, and somebody else would get a different role, and subsequently start scoring. It doesn't have to be a player who isn't regularly starting now, it might very well be a player who already is in the team. So I don't share this worry that we don't have three players on the pitch who all contribute equally to goals. We only really need two given goal scorers at a time. If we look at Europa League, the winger who has stepped up and provided goals is Lucas Moura.

Lost control of the game as soon as he came on. Absolute shite, no idea how to play in a Mourinho defence and wasteful in attack. He'd be my first winger gone.

Him and Lamela out and another competent winger in would be ideal. At current they're offering nothing. And yes its because Lamela is always hurt.

He was absolute shite we lost total control of the game when we brought him on and to be honest we look the better team without him.

when he plays in the europa we look unbalanced too.

If its shoot out of

Lamela,Moura,Alli,Bale and you have to pick two I’m going bale & dele

One of the worst performances I've ever seen from a substitute. Did he even complete a pass? 'Dreadful' doesn't come close.

I’ll admit I was calling for him to start over Bergwyn, but he was appalling tonight.

His passing is garbage at this level..... shockingly bad. Yes has the ability to crack in a goal when he hasn't got too much time to think but that doesn't happen anywhere near enough. Majority of the time it's head down and run stuff. Can put a shift in but that's simply not enough to fall back on. All I see is the Brazilian Andros Townsend.

Went absolutely mental when he dropped too central in the 85th minute or so, leaving Mane with acres of space, then had the cheek to blame Aurier for not tracking him.

Worst sub performance in a long time.

At the time I thought it was a good sub. Lo Celso looked knackered and I thought Lucas would provide some good energy and counter attacking threat but in hindsight apart from 1 or 2 good things he wasn’t great.

Absolutely, on paper it was the right sub, but who knew he would come on and put on a display as sub standard as that.

He's scored some great and vital goals for us in the past but it's time to move him on. Other than endless running he just doesn't seem to offer anything to the team. He was shocking in the last europa game and I can see why he's fallen down the pecking order for league games.

Just too erratic too often. I always thought that someone with his pace should be doing much more than he actually does.

Very weird for someone so fast to be so little of a threat to the opposition defence.

I know bad moments tend to stick in the memory but has anyone got his overall pass completion percentage for the season? He’s had below 60% at least a couple of times but he must be approaching record-breaking figures for an attacking player. :D
