In golfing parlance, he's got a bad case of the yips. He needs a steady game, but he keeps making poor choices. I'd take him out of the firing line and give Foyth a start at the weekend. Three points will give everyone a massive confidence boost. Got to really want it though.

He was tracking Neves' run and the guy was a fraction on with a massive gap to play though...Dele pressuring the wrong player also had a hand in the Ajax goal.

If you want to vent about some players, two of them have massive reputations, play in midfield and were absolutely fucking terrible tonight.

Most tackles in the team and key passes for Tripps in his time on the pitch, but sure ignore that so you can have a good old fucking whinge because we were narrowly beaten by a side that have put out two massive clubs already, who had a full week's rest and are pretty much at full strength...while we're at bare bones.
You are to posting on SC what Trippier is to the role of right back :poop:

Deary Deary me. If I had a pound for every time he over hit a cross tonight.

When he doesn’t cross well you realise how truly shit he is.

Too many floaty balls. (See Dele Alli)

It's an England thing.

Tripps made his name by getting the ball in the box, at pace, at every opportunity.. now he spends most of the game passing backwards. He's never been a particularly good defender.

Needs to get back to basics and start getting back in with the assists.

I don't think I have seen a player play so well at the start of the season to fall apart near the end of the season

Here we have a RB who was being praised on his delivery at the world cup to not being able to cross near the end of the season

This is like the football version of Markelle Fultz

He is crap. Crossing no longer a threat because teams know if you don't give him the time and space, he can't do anything. His defending is just woeful. Can't wait until he is sold.

Not to mention the resulting need to bring around half a dozen in, if not more. Half a dozen in, that's like 10 transfer windows worth :D
You never know. Not like there aren't 12 in the team not producing anyway. Looks like we'll have to wait on the ITK to see what's up.

Despite Jan’s injury, Trippier still managed to leave the stadium more dazed and confused than him.

There’s no defending him anymore (ironically), that pass back to Toby when he was marked by 3 Ajax players was the single dumbest thing I’ve ever seen a professional footballer do.

At this point, if you’re defending Trippier here, you’re either 1. Kieran Trippier, 2. Blind, 3. Kieran Trippier.

He was dreadful last night. I mean, kind of ok with turnovers and effort, so can't fault that. But technically just regressed so much this season. Or he's just not paying attention to what he's doing.

Either way, very poor.

I don’t even want him as back up next season. I think the best thing for all parties is if he’s sold now. He’s never been a good defender and now he’s lost the strongest part of his game.
