I think Gazzaniga will go. Complete waste of a foreign spot in the sqaud.

Hart is a leader and big character, this is a good signing I think.

Piss off Noddy.

So another experienced keeper will have no impact on the competition and training of our 1st team keepers. You're adamant on that?

The arrogance and narrow mindedness.

In fucking credible.

He got released by Burnley, give your head a wobble, about arrogance. Aren't you usually fairly normal, and not an absolute clown? Joe Hart signing will have absolutely no impact on Lloris, the world cup winner and our club captain, yeah - I'm pretty adamant on that.

"In fucking credible" - grow up, you angry little man.

Normally a new signing excites us all and brings us all together.

Joe Hart signing has caused civil war, can't wait for match day threads when he is playing.

This is like when Chelsea signed Rob Green - free, home grown and a solid break glass in case of emergency experienced 3rd choice GK

I’ve never been a fan of his chest out, anthem blaring, front up to my mistakes style of leadership but I can imagine Jose is (similar to Terry in that regard) and if he thinks it will help in and around the training ground then I’m all for it

Now is the time to find the positive in this transfer. He's fearless and a fairly good shoot stopper imo. Commanding in the box and a knuckle head.
There's of course a 'welcome to tottenham' video out as of today so have a look at some of his saves from the past year and agree that he's a good addition to the squad as a player and as a mentor for the younger lads. And as mentioned several thousand times already in this thread; It's purely for the homegrown quota.

Someones having an off morning.

Not really, I've said nothing out of the ordinary - I've just had a legion of angry boys coming at me for laughing at the idea that Joe Hart would impact the squad's mentality. @nedley is the one frothing at the mouth, tears running down his cheek, because I have the temerity to find that funny.

I'm not even against the signing at all.

We are signing an experienced additional keeper who will challenge for the no.1 spot just like Vorm before him and Gazzaniga. We are also signing him on a free and he is home grown.

It's a smart signing as he won't be any worse than Vorm.

I guess we need more HG bodies and we've all moaned for years about Vorm eating up a nonHG slot just for a 3rd keeper spot but oof, I'd rather have gotten someone whose played more than a couple of games in the last 2 seasons and hadn't been dropped by West Ham and Burnley in subsequent seasons for being just that bad. Whatever I guess.

Having been at the Norwich game last year, this is definitely an upgrade on Vorm, and has far more winning experience which can't hurt the dressing room. As long as he's not on crazy money, having someone HG in that slot who is an upgrade on what we had last year has to be a good move.

I'm not talking his on-the-pitch performance, I'm saying his voice in the dressing room hardly helped instil a winning mentality there.
How do you know there was no impact? How are you judging it. What bar are you using

Nothing wrong

Hate to be 'that' guy.

But you actually started it. Your message was passive aggressive and you called me a 'muppet' for arguing for the signing.

We can sort this out and have a fight if you want?

There’s no way he’ll come in as third choice, it would be an insult to his ability and his record:

- 2 Premier League titles
- 1 FA Cup
- 2 League Cups
- 4 Premier League golden gloves
- 75 England caps

Bringing him in as Hugo’s backup makes perfect sense. Good for our HG quota, brings a winning mentality to the dressing room, and I imagine he’s a bit of a ruthless bastard too.

Crucially, as much as I love the guy, he is a class above Gazzaniga, who I assume we’d be able to get £5-10m for.

Good hair too!!
