It just makes perfect sense.

Football fans has to be less of an idealist and more of a pragmatist.
These fans just give focus on the problem and giving a rational solution.

Hart in on a free and Gazzaniga out on a fee would mean money towards another position where we need fixing.

In truth, how often does Gazzaniga gets to play a season? it's a high opportunity cost.

Before anyone mention Hugo's injury, we all know that's a freak injury, what are the chances of a first choice keeper being out long term?

Like what many said, Hart's a title winner, HG, low wages, good personality in the dressing room, willing to be backup at this stage of his career and a solid shot stopper.

And most importantly, Jose's nemesis Pep got rid of him due to his inability to play the ball to feet thus he'll be motivated to play for Jose.
Goalkeepers' main job are to stop shots, period.

The English press crucified him after high profile errors with England that he never recovered from, not too dissimilar to what Robbo faced after the Croatia bobble.

Keepers thrive on confidence.

English, experienced, won plenty and free... I can't get used to seeing us make transfers with a bit of logic!

It is a bit funny to read you lot lauding his winning mentality - hardly helped Burnley or West Ham, did it? He's here because he's free and homegrown, in a position that makes very little difference hopefully.

You could stick Neuer between the sticks for Burnley or West Ham and they’d still win fuck all

I'm not talking his on-the-pitch performance, I'm saying his voice in the dressing room hardly helped instil a winning mentality there.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting that one player’s winning mentality is going to single-handedly win us trophies.

We didn’t win anything with Llorente, for example.

But it’s another small step in the right direction when it comes to mentality and leadership.

Hart is a keeper who would be great in a low block situation as he commands his area really well (crosses), and his weakness with his feet will not matter. I do not see the reason to keep Gazzaniga as Hart would be an adequate number 2 and the 3rd keeper should be a home grown youth product.
The problem is that was the logic last season, and Lloris got injured and, erm, we got Vorm in.

If we think Austin/Whitemen are good enough great. If not, no you need 3 dependable keepers. A keeper out of their depth really stands out and can cost you very dearly.

he used to be head and shoulders above the rest, think it's an astute signing.

This is all very well, and I appreciate the HG issue behind this.
However Joe Hart is really crap.
Do we really want really crap players at Spurs?
