This feels a bit like waking up to find you've been burgled in the night.

But then you realise he's jsut here to mske up the numbers, is HG and will probably play 1 game max next season. Could be a good experienced influence possibly too.

I think joe hart will be 3rd or 4th choice at this stage of his career .. Also joe hart salary will be low compared to vorm who was on 60k .... Joe hart was earning 30k at burnley and didn't even get game that much .... If he is 3rd or 4th choice here, he would be earning 20k... That would free up wages for outfield players ...

So TalkSport on the pulse again......

I don't think any of our ITK's mentioned this.

can be a threat from corners too whilst staying in his penalty area given his telescopic freakishly long neck

Wouldn’t be a terrible signing because he’s free, experienced, and home grown. Plus he’s not afraid to stick his neck out now and then.

I liked that interview, thanks for sharing it.

As with Robbo, it’s interesting how one profile mistake can pretty much end a goal keeper in terms of confidence and take them from England’s Number One to third choice at a club... And fascinating how someone like Hugo can make a dozen high profile mistakes including that awful one for France vs Sweden in the World Cup qualifiers and then after such a horrific injury have such a terrific return to the first team. Speaks of a strong personality.

he feels like a decent free swap for Vorm,

Signing of joe hart makes sense... He doesn't have any club at this moment ... He is homegrown, he will be happy to get low wages and will remain content as 3rd or 4th choice goalkeeper ... Will add valuable experience in the dressing room

Personally was hoping for Oblak for this role. Will settle for Joe I guess.

Some really dry, flaky jokes in here this morning & some getting themselves into a bit of a lather if he is back up or third choice. :cautious:

I think he'll play a lot more games than people think.

Having said that, he's a scapegoat waiting to happen. The minute he makes a mistake, no, the minute he does something that in some alternate universe, whilst under the influence of industrial solvents is nowhere near a mistake it'll be seen as one by a select band of scape fetishists, the list grows longer, Dele, Jose, Aurier, etc etc and now Joe the Giraffe.

SC is going to rumble when the season starts.

Another signing where at first glance it seems fairly underwhelming but if you actually put some thought into it, it makes perfect sense.

Seems like these sensible, prudent signings might be the way forward (this summer at least). Might not be exciting but a squad full of functional leaders is probably going to be more successful under Jose.

Seems we are approaching this window in a sensible way and signing players with a good mentality whilst plugging the gaps that have been well over.
