Not too fussed where he ends up (there are pros and cons to both moves), I just pray we can get one of the two deals over the line.

Beyond him being home grown, there's no point in keeping him any longer, and all we're doing is clogging up the squad and stunting his development.

I would've bitten any club's hands off for a bid of £13-14m given his injury problems to be honest, so fair play if we can get £20m. I just hope we don't price him out of a move as nobody wins in that situation.

Agree... Could also be that if Japhet goes his CB space will be filled by a top foreign CB and the AM we are looking for will be HG ? ?‍♂️
I think it’s been mentioned before that our transfer plans are “fluid”. Whoever leaves will be because the manager sees him as disposable and whoever comes in, automatically improves the squad.

We need an upgrade on Tanganga. That's for sure :) ... lovely lad and okay talent... he has had a few chances. But his development hasn't gone fast enough (also with injuries on top). And now Conte has bigger plans... I can understand that... hope Japhet finds a good club for his next step.

Was so excited when Japhet burst onto the scene. Looked the real deal and performances at RWB full of promise. Injured and never the same again. Maybe just wasn’t fancied at CB?

I like japhet, I hope he gets the best move for him. Shame it hasn't worked out for him here, talented player imo.

I havent heard anything about AC Milan's financial situation - are they in need of money or are they okay? I ask because given Trix's latest info could we be trying to line up a Tanganga + cash bid for Tomori? Tomori did often play at LCB for Chelsea. Appreciate he is right footed but fits the type of defender we want. Fast, direct, aggressive. Perhaps not as good on the ball as Conte would ideally like e.g. Bastoni.

They’re in the middle of a takeover which I imagine makes any major transfer in/out very complicated.

I think £12m to £15m would be excellent for Japh. He is decent but just not at the level we need. He will do well though

Personally I can’t see him leaving. The links have dried up and I don’t think there are many good replacement English options

Wasting his career being last in line of CBs, needs to head off where he can get some game time and if not develop as a player then at least be a player. Is he another one a bit too comfortable and lacking in ambition as a footballer.

He can’t really help it if no one meets the price, can he?

Or is the problem that we won’t release him until we find a replacement.
Which apparently is extremely hard to find, given that both him and Reggie are both still here.

I sincerely hope that we have some quality players lined up, since the schedule with the league/cups is brutal. But either the club have became master at doing things in the dark or (most likely) nothing's really that close with 1 week to go..
