Perisic looks so at home at LW as that was his original position for years before Conte moved him to LWB at Inter.
He became a top even world class LWB but I have to say I was annoyed with Conte when we had the injuries to Richy & Sonny & Kulu and instead of sticking with 3-4-3 and playing Perisic LW and Gil or Lucas RW, Conte switched us to 3-5-2 with Kane up front with Perisic and I just felt that was the wrong decision, it nullified our attack completely for many reasons.
We should sign another top AM but if we get injuries again then I’d like to see Perisic LW not up front in a 3-5-2!

We had Richarlison, Kulusevski and Son out with Moura not fit to start if I recall correctly. He didn't have much choice. I think we switched to 352 because Bissouma is a better option than our attacking options at the time. I don't think he intended to switch formation but felt he had too with the injuries. Then it was a matter that we didn't have anyone to partner Kane so Perisic filled in.

I agree but I feel that 3-4-3 with Perisic LW and Gil RW either side of Kane would’ve worked better than what ended up being a toothless very defensive pushed back 5-3-2.

Agree mate he was never going to but in heindsight we couldn’t have played much worse in that 3-5-2 for a few games we were absolutely toothless with Perisic and Kane up top and our defensive shape was poor , 3-4-3 with Gil & Perisic either side of Kane and us dropping back into a 5-4-1 surely couldn’t have been any worse

He so functional such a top pro. Hopefully he now kicks on with us 2nd half of the season at LWB as he looks fully up to fitness now

Wouldn't surprise me if he's saved himself a bit for the world cup, and that we'll now see a better version in our kit as well.
