In addition to the assist. He made a crucial save late in the game and celebrated immensely.

We can not underestimate the difference he is making in the squad with his experience. He´s vocal and helping players like Sess. For the other players it´s also an assurance having him around.

Apparently he needs to do more than defend well + assist more goals than anyone else in our squad. Wingbacks are also supposed to be a team's top scorer right? :cautious:

7 assists so far this season.

Not too shabby for a washed-up Serie A wingback

That late block as well though. Just shows he has great defensive instincts. He also has great composure playing back to Lloris to take pressure off. He's just not young enough to play from deep. Need to push higher up the pitch to get the best out of him.

Can’t remember the last player we had who could consistently beat the first man on corners let alone actually consistently deliver the ball into dangerous positions from corners and free kicks!
Lamela's corners were incredibly consistent for being put into a good area (and beating the dreaded first man) but the trajectory and pace of his delivery pales in comparison to Perišić's.

If Richarlison, Kulusevski, and Son are all unavailable against Liverpool I'd play Perisic up top with Kane. Conte is seemingly unwilling to start Bryan, so Perisic is the best option we have left IMO.

Thought Perisic has been poor for the past few games but that block he made was a joke. Just as good as a goal that, amazing defending.

Not sure he could play in a 2 tbh. Needs to be out wide. Maybe in a front 3 when all fit but I expect 352 given the injuries.

He's a seriously athletic dude.

Was still running no problem towards the end last night.

Fair play.

Assist to Richarlison against Marseille is his only assist from open play
Technically, though his assist v Wolves was him flicking on Son's ( I think) corner, so whilst the goal was from a set piece and not open play, he wasn't the set piece taker.

Might have to play him in a front three with Harry and Moura this weekend, given our utter lack of attackers!

I was thinking this, he can still take on and beat a player no problem and put in some great crosses and passes. If we want to go 343 i'd definitely put him on the front 3 with kane and lucas.

Would prefer 3 CM's, which (IMO) gets the best out of PEH and Bentancur. Who i don't think work that well as a 2.
