He should be the first target we go for. He is Mr Consistent, offers so many options positionally and has experience we'll greatly need in the CL. Conte knows him really well too. No brainer for me.

Would have loved him but bit iffy now with his age and that nasty injury, especially in Conte system where he would have to get up and down left side a lot in the more physical English league.

As long as he doesn’t need surgery shouldn’t take too long to heal. I did this recently and was walking, running after a few weeks. Obviously I’m not an elite footballer but might not be too long.
