Weird how aggressive people are when the simple disconnect between Jose saying at last he has time to work with his players this week ...

...and then gives them days off instead.

People need to calm down (check out recent Taylor Swift song of same name :D) . Personal attacks are deemed necessary for such a minor and obvious observation ,why is that ?
I can guarantee you that this will cause the exact opposite of calming down to happen.

I get that, but then Jose should not moan he does not get time with the players on the training pitch and make out that is the one thing holding him back.
Jose hasn't been moaning about no time on the training ground. He's been saying that he can't train aggression and intensity because it's too demanding when you have game after game. Even with a full week it would have been madness to put them through a rigorous training session after the performance at Wolves and would have left them completely shot come the Chelsea game

Just on your other post (not singling you out friend), we have to remember it's not just 3 to 4 hours a day. It's watching everything you eat, going to sleep on time, waking up on time, not intoxicating or doing anything to your body that may damage it in any way, a lot of travelling and being at the whim of your employer, pushing your body to a state of extreme performance, having to mute yourself in the face of overwhelming personal abuse directed at you and your family from both opposition and your own fans and not being able to spend time in public with your kids without being stopped 300 times for autograph and pictures and having to be nice about it, all that over probably a 15 year period.

Of course most people would love to be footballers but it is by no means an easy life.

To be honest jose has probably given them a chance to relax a bit with family ahead of what is going to be a VERY intense buildup to the chelsea game. Jose wants the next 3points more than any other and id expect them to of been in for a much more jose like buildup to a big game.

Yeah it’s a bit of stuck or twist situation right now considering he joined mid season

Whoa. Huh? The real news is here is that taylor swift is still a thing. Havent heard of her since that 22 song and that came out when i was still in college. She had some real bangers back in the day too

Are you taking the piss? I can't proclaim to be down with the kids but I can't imagine how much you would need to detach yourself from popular culture to have not heard of Taylor Swift in the last 7 years!

The game is Sunday, so if they had Monday/Tuesday off it’s still 4 days to train and do tactics etc.
2 days off will mentally do them good, a bit of relaxation before the mad Christmas games

He was always going to give them a break after the Wolves game instead of mid-week break in prep for the Chelsea game. He's likely running double and maybe triple sessions on these 4 days ( outside work, watching game analysis and recovery work).

The worse of him today. Slow, unfit and uninterested. Pre-season looked so sharp but all went downhill. Hardly the ever-improving professional model we would link him to two seasons ago. Is almost like he's reserving all his energies to play only for England.

What a shame..

All team was horrific, what did you expect of him? And he wasn't that bad

Poor game yes, but he was not the only one
Point is he can't be getting the free pass every single time and still starts. I understand he's our only out and out seasoned striker. But surely we need to look at signing a forward or two soon to challenge his position before we seem to be like playing with 10 men sometimes.

Long aimless balls all day aren't going to get the best out of Kane. I dont know why he gets so much attention when we play so bad as a team. I think we have unrealistic expectations from him. Only Messi and Ronaldo can still perform great on their own when the rest of their team plays so poor. We shouldn't expect it from Kane just because he's our top scorer.

wasnt great, but doesnt matter who we had up top, with this shitshow of a midfield.
This is the point I wouldn't understand. While I agree the midfield is shit, a poor man upfront not motivated in trying to attack the defenders wouldn't help matters.

Even if he can't score goals because of lack of service he can at least run and do some pressing. Or if he wants to go deeper then help in bringing the ball up and making some passes. No excuses for being completely invisible. He turns up every other game in the league. He's our captain and needs to be better and lead the team in derbies like he used to do. Obviously he would do better with better midfield and with FBs who could cross but there's a lot he can do that doesn't involve scoring.

he shouldnt be expected to do everything on his own, he needs a midfield that can effectively get him the ball so he can do damage. 99% of strikers do.
