Not sure if this got posted yet, wonder what he said to him lmao

I do love a good Argentinian shit houser in our team, they do it so well.
Gio has been especially good at this sort of thing this season, what with the Haaland one too.

I’m more than happy for him to stay as someone to fight for the 10 role. He’s got the talent, just look at his performance against Man City!
💯 this. Love to hear these quotes from him and would love to keep him as a squad player.

Maddison is never fit for a whole season and if we have Europe next season Gio will get plenty of game time in our squad.

My opinion is that GLC is a great substitute player. His best quality is ball control and that he always shows up to receive. He didn't wait for goals or assists. If he is healthy, he is a player to keep on the roster for a few more years.

Massive game for him this is.

I like Gio, overall i think he has lots of quality and can provide the tick we need.

The only doubt is, he can be a bit weak sometimes, and get outmuscled.

Time for him to grab a game by tbe scruff and get us over the line.

Key player for us today.

Full quote

"I'm just really happy and I'm enjoying this new era at the club with my team mates and feel more and more settled. I've felt really comfortable in training and way he (Postecoglou) coaches. I love his idea of football which gave me the belief that I could find a place in this team. The coaching staff have helped as well as my team mates. I think that the coach has got the most out of all of the players because he has a clear playing style that we love."
And more quotes…

“It’s where I’m playing right now, as an eight, I love it. I see a lot of the ball with this coach – I feel more at ease and really love seeing action because every player knows what they need to do. Over the years I’ve played in various positions, I feel most comfortable playing further forward in a number eight role or behind the striker – I prefer this area of the pitch. Or I can play deeper if that’s what the coach wants.”

Much improved 2nd half from Gio. That pass for Son's goal was absolutely beautiful.
Also the reverse pass to Son on the counter that Richy should have finished was 👌. Ultimately he finished with 2 assist and could have had a pen. Was off the pace first half like most of the team but was very good second. Earning his new contract if he continues as he is.

Best performance in a spurs shirt for me. 1 dodgy tackle on edge of box but rest of game was really good. Hope he can keep it going

need him to sign a new contract.

Cant wait to see him and maddison in the same side together, if you make a good run they will 100% pick you out.

He was let down a little bit by Son and Richy at times today. The really good chance Richy scuffed was largelly down to him, as was the chance when Richy put through Sonny who didn't finish.

Said in the match thread that I felt he (along with every outfield player, bar Udogie) was under par, but what an amazing second half.

Beautiful outside of the foot assist for Son, won multiple free-kicks, and dribbled out alone to get us out of trouble.

Really hope he can maintain his fitness and continue this form.
