Lo Celso is different to any of the others though
As is Hojbjerg. I think there's an arguement for keeping both (particularly with Sarr + Bissouma going to AFCON and Bentancur not having made a successful return to first-team action yet). We could probably get away with selling one of the two without a replacement, but selling both without a replacement would be risky.

Agree, I think we'd go for Palinha if we sold both but our Plan A is move just PEH and our Plan B is move just GLC

Of course wouldn't be disappointed to see him stay but likely we need to sell a few that we would prefer to keep just to reduce the squad size. He doesn't improve our starting 11 so much like PEH if we don't have enough interest in our other subs / squad players then we might have to let him go.

only way he should be able to leave is if someone else if the same level came in. Considering how we've gone about replacing Kane I would exactly trust the club to do it.

Logical solution is to keep him this season and reassess his situation next summer once Eze is on the market.

Think his stock will be increased or at least the same next summer

Nice. Glad to see it.

The reported offers for him were pitiful anyway. Can probably get a similar fee for him next summer if we want to move him on.

I just don't get why we would spend a lot of money to replace Gio with Eze. Makes no sense to me when there are places we need to actually spend money on. Not even remotely convinced Eze is a better player either. At least this season any time Gio gets will be in a system that should allow him to show what he can do. Unlike any of his time with Spurs to date

I'm not sure what exactly is "an important bid", guess it's not a "cheeky bid" anyway.

Once we’re back in Europe and hoping to challenge for titles it will be about having options across the park and strength in depth; like other top sides have. I think JM is going to be first choice for many seasons but we’ll need another option that we can rely on if JM is injured, needs rotating or to come off the bench without our level dropping too much. If Gio proves that he is the answer this season then great; but Eze is a top talent and will likely be available for around the same price as we paid for Maddison next summer with 1 year left on his current deal. He also could be an option at LW.
