Ah right, so they still seem to be running either damage limitation or they think there is more to this deal, in their eyes at least.

I thought it had been quiet over here, I think the last thing I saw was something posted on here coming out of the Sun newspaper and it being something about less than £50 mill.

Who scored dot com have him with 12 goals and 5 assists in 47 games for PSG and Betis plus the Copa. That’s a pretty good set of stats. CE is 13 and 13 over 49. I presume this is the season just past. Obviously CE is the assist king but his strength is long passes, key passes, long shots and set pieces. GLC’s strengths are dribbling, tackling and short passes. It’s not a like for like. They are different players so I don’t think GLC will be played in a similar position to CE rather Poch will adopt a different style for GLC. The much vaunted new formation.

Best of both worlds is to have them both. The possibilities are endless. That would give us so much flexibility.

I’d be shocked if Barcelona are about to spend that much money on a backup LB after how much they’ve spent this summer.

Going by most of our transfer dealings this summer , the players were identified early and bid on , IMO most of the deals were also finished, just waiting on the clubs who we are dealing with to finish there ends ,even thou the clubs are playing silly buggers all part of the plan , ie: Lyon with Ndombele and now the same with Betis .

I think our history of protracted transfers has something to do with it.
We were all shocked when Levy bought 7 players in five minutes after Bale and we were in the basement but apart from that,we were buying but not buying many players who ended up with third rate clubs or ice cream at baskin robbins.Then there were the Cinderella buys that didn't quite make the 12 o'clock deadline.

Or, they know the main part of the deal is done for more than £50 mil, so when the deal is announced for £50+ mil, they look like shrewd negotiators.
