Lo Celso himself needs to have a word with his national team also, what's more beneficial to them in the long run, he plays a few friendlies unfit or he gets himself into his clubs first team and has a good season.

Oh I get what you're saying. For the record it pisses me off. But if they're adamant they wish to play there's little we can do other than accept, or create a problem by way of denial.

Yes there is, pull them out - we're not obliged to send them away to their national team, we don't have to.

Under the circumstances I think we could just say that we'd prefer if he stayed in England for this International break to give him more time to settle in London. Especially with his injury, we could keep him around and work on getting him fit so that he is ready to start and influence games properly. Surely that is more important for both him and us in the short term.

On an Argentina message board there are fans saying how fucking disloyal La Selso is how he has disrespected the nation by turning down a call up whilst fit.

La Selso watches his national side beat Brazil without him on tv in a sparse looking flat in rainy London.

Another reason why we need Poch replaced, IMO. I'd much rather have a nasty bastard like Mourinho blatantly lying about his best players suffering niggling little injuries prior to an international break than I would have Pochettino trying to be more honest than our competitors and us suffering as a result. If we want to be winners, we need to play dirty, and I'm fine with that.

Wow. Really? We must have some lumberjacks on this site with the amount of sticks to beat poch with coming out of nowhere.

At least if we start him on the weekend he can get injured playing for us rather than for the national team and begin his recovery sooner.

Wtf are you on about?
Im saying that if you’ve had a management position then you know dealing with people is nuanced and complex and depends on the particular facts, feelings and personalities of the human beings involved.

It’s not to people like Mourinho who I would turn to for pro tips on man management since he returned to the uk. And we can’t use instances of other clubs doing things to create a general rule for our club.

EDIT - following up on your quoted post above - which was explaining your earlier "I see empathy is a strength of incels online" post - by rating that earlier post with a well-deserved Dislike for a rather infantile and uncalled-for jab at people who you disagree with.

I appreciate what you're saying and to some extent, agree with you.
However, if I was a player, I'd want to represent my country at every opportunity.
I mean, look at how much Kane loves playing for England. If we were to try to stop him, we'd risk all sorts of problems in what is already a (allegedly) fraught dressing room.

Let's talk in context, we're talking about a player who picked up an injury playing for his country on the last intl break and he still hasn't completed 90 mins for us which tells you is still not match fit according to the coach.

When you take that into account you'd expect the player to understand, we're not pulling him out to piss him off, we're pulling him out to protect him.

I don’t think Mourinho would be able to win with a team with our resources.

My comment was aimed only at the two people who quoted me with a condescending response to my post despite making 0 effort to understand it.

I think there are some well argued opposing views by reasonable people like you and hakz.

And I agree with that, totally.
I'm not for generally pulling players out of international duty though, like some many clubs do, when there are obviously no injury concerns.

I take it you haven’t seen his reviews of Kill List or Hardcore Henry.
