One player that I wanted us to sign, apart from dybala. Love the way he plays with grit and determination. Remind me of rafa, can't wait to see him in our colours

Assuming Eriksen is off then surely we will go for this?

Lloris
Aurier --- Toby --- Verts --- Rose/RS
Winks
Ndombele --------- Lo Celso
Alli
Kane --- Son
I feel like the diamond might improve with the two dynamic number 8s. There's a nice balance with TN and GLC being right and left footed and it allows Alli to play close to Kane.

Gave you a winner for the assertion that the diamond might work much better with TN and GLC, but I'm still hopeful Eriksen might get his brain in gear and sign a new deal. Trix (I think) implied that his strop was all about RM leading him on and then ignoring him, and nothing to do with us. Maybe he'll realise that the grass isn't greener after all.

Not sure ifr this has been posted, but this is some analysis from a La Liga expert on what we should expect in the form of a twitter thread.

I'm very, very excited.

Ok, I'm still a neophyte when it comes to judging players as I'm relatively new to the sport, so be gentle with me.

Went to watch a few videos. The things I noticed:

1 - Good pace. He's not the fastest player I've ever seen, but he finds space well and has the speed to get there.

2 - Really good at shifting the ball from foot to foot and shifting weight. Allows him to use a defender's closing speed against them.

3 - REALLY good at keeping his body between the ball and the defender. Causes a lot of fouls.

4 - Good vision, very good placement.

5 - Has a decent shot. Again, he doesnt possess herculean power, but can place the ball well.

6 - A little reckless and "cute" with his touches sometimes, but I am thinking that as he gets a little more mature that will go away.

I like what I see from him. A lot.
Also looks like he knows how to handle himself, like many Argentine players, which will help him adjust to the PL.

Just back after being offline for a week . BBC are reporting Lo Celso as a loan is that right ?

On loan for this season, but with an obligation to buy if we achieve European football. Was done to reduce Betis' sign-on fee to PSG.

Yesterday's plane watching was one of the best things I have semi-been apart of thank you for the laughs and hopefully Lo Celso will have been worth it. Next transfer window we should organise a trip to the airport.

Doesn't solve the Kane not suiting that role at all problem though. Son just gets in his way...

Is it an obligation to buy?

I thought it was our option?

An option is marginally better (but only if he flops, which no one expects him to) but it doesn't really matter though, either way he's our player. And I'm delighted about it.

As far as I know, if we achieve any kind of European football (CL or EL), we are obligated to pay a 40m fee and keep him. Not that I mind :)

At a guess the option is to make it look ever so slightly less like we're just gaming PSG's sell-on clause. A straight-up obligation might have appeared just that bit too obvious!

Seems to be both.
We have an option no matter what, but if we get CL football the reports seem to be its an obligation
