Yup. Because after everything, it looks he’s the key guy we want above all else, and that our alternatives were a little flimsy

That’s not to say if he had met the asking price they wouldn’t have changed it of course
They did, 3 times...

Basically saying he's leaving Betis for us.

Doesn’t sound like it’s much closer than last time using google translate though? ?‍♂️

Real Betis and Tottenham are very close to signing an agreement for the transfer of Giovani Lo Celso to the English club. The amounts have not yet transpired but the operation must exceed 60 million euros between fixed and variable. The Argentine, who arrived in Heliopolis from Paris Saint-Germain for 25 million, has been a season in the Betic club and the parties hope to permanently close the deal before the end of the transfer market term in the Premier League tomorrow in the afternoon.

As Muchodeporte advances, the agreement is about to be signed between Betis and Tottenham so that Lo Celso leaves for the English club. The soccer player had already asked for his exit and at Betis they have pressed to the maximum to get the highest performance to the operation, so he had broken the negotiations last Sunday.

Lo Celso is not expected to participate in tonight's meeting before the Las Palmas Sports Union for the tribute to Rubén Castro. Although he traveled to Morocco, he also did not intervene in the friendly against Raja in Casablanca.

Lo Celso has a termination clause of one hundred million euros but Betis had agreed with the player that for 75 million he would accept an exit. Now it remains to be seen in which figures an operation that is the most important in the history of the club Verdiblanco closes.

No, we are only getting one. We would have gone for 2 if CE had been sold. From the onset the ITKs said that 2 def not dependent on Erikson going. So its Ndombele + 1 of either BF , PD or GLS. GLS or BF seem the more likely at this stage

I'm hopeful for two, with the expectation we can move CE to RM or Atleti in the next 3 weeks. Doesn't fit with our MO but would be the kind of 'big club' move Poch has been calling for.

I also wonder if Dybala falls into the 'extraordinary opportunity' category where we can open the purse strings a bit more. The fee being split over 5 years rather than 2-3 certainly helps our finances.

Jokes about the Falklands really aren’t cool, they’re actually quite offensive to people with opinions on both sides of the dispute, it’s like joking about the Gaza Strip or the Turkish occupation of Cyprus.
Apologies if it caused offense, not my intention. I've deleted the post.

Finally. Winks, Ndombele and Lo Celso. Abundance of talent in that midfield.

Really hopes this is will be done and dusted asap.

Think the fact that it's coming from Betis side, the side who have fucked about all window, that the agreement is "about to be signed" is a very good indicator that the agreement is, well, about to be signed

The difference being that this journo never jumped on the bandwagon until now. Had been pretty consistent with the 10-15m difference beforehand.

I’m still a crazy person who likes Dier... but I see why people like/want Winks in the lineup. I really do like the idea of Son and Lucas flanking Kane. We rarely saw it last year as one of them were forced centrally. Would open up our offensive game a lot.
Agree with everything you say, and the good thing for Dier (and Skipp/ Sissoko) is that they could all play instead of any of those three without our attacking play being blunted particularly. Additionally, if we have Son, Lucas, Lamela, Dele, Sessegnon and Kane and even Parrott as ‘front three’ options, with that midfield behind they’ll get the ball early and high up with regularity. Pretty much why for me, as nice as Lo Celso plus Bruno/Dybala/Coutinho would be awesome, I actually think we look strong as fuck without the second player (assuming Sess gets done).

Would offer us so much in midfield. Genuinely excited but we’ve been here before so i’m not celebrating until he’s holding the shirt!!
