We are not getting Lo Celso- we just aren't. This is the type of deal that needed to be done months ago. Now, the well is poisoned.

(sigh)

Honestly do think if Coutinho goes through or starts looking really close. Betis or sporting will panic slightly on there valuation of players and drop to what we want knowing we’d be less desperate.

Agreed and think this could plausibly happen. We've all thought throughout the window that GLC was Poch's first choice and that Levy was in a position of desperately needing to back the manager. If we as fans were aware of that dynamic then Betis's board would naturally know as well and would try to hold us to ransom. If we can conclude the Coutinho deal our desperation would evaporate and they'd still need to sell.

I hope we don’t give up on GLC. Seemed really up for joining, it’s not his fault Betis are scoundrels intent on making an enemy out of Levy for some reason.

Real Betis fans chanting “Stay, Lo Celso” at their open training session this afternoon.
Despite all the talk, rumours and what-not, I still think he joins Spurs before 2030.

They might as well chant “bankruptcy por favor” as that’s the alternative apparently. Doesn’t quite flow, though.

Need to allow sufficient time for travel, medicals and paperwork. This has all the makings of another transfer window shambles.

If I'm not mistaken, deals can be agreed to subject to medical and the medical can be completed after the deadline closes.

Maybe that’s why we are flashing our knickers at coutinho?
