Daniel knows what he's doing. Good game of "you need our money more than you're letting on", going on here.

Don't forget that Sky Sources are largely bullshit, or alternatively that this could be us feeding information to the media via different channels to force Betis's hand.

Either way we should remember that 90% of transfer journalism is garbage.

Yeah I definitely think this is a negotiating tactic from us.

I think we can comfortably sound the ‘this one looks set to run and run’ klaxon

There's definitely a game of poker going on, I get that. And if it was just us vs. them, we'd end up getting him for a good price.

The issue here is that United will be under a lot of pressure to actually buy quality, and there's a fair chance they could just pony up the required fee. It also then requires GLC to take a view that we'll actually get to the right place with them, and not have his head turned by Utd.

Not straight forward

If we don't sign him it probably means Eriksen isn't going to be sold.

Not sure I agree with that. I think Eriksen will want to go, and if Real want him, I'm guessing we definitely get Ceballos in return, but that we would be looking for another Eriksen replacement, potentially instead of GLC

Sky have a new transfer programme to push so I suspect there will be lots of twists and turns reported by them in all transfers this summer to fill those shows

Now we have NDombele we aren’t really pushed to get Lo Celso in quickly. The ball is completely in our court. Betis won’t want the deal to linger. However they have a benefit to this. Our window shuts early. If we sign him on our deadline day, they’ll have 3 weeks to spend the money. I guess we’ll see if Lo Celso pushes for a move

I have to say now we’ve signed Ndombele, I’m a lot more relaxed about GLC.

Ndombele was the signing we desperately needed, and while GLC would be useful I think we can cope without him and I think we’ll find there are cheaper high-quality alternatives available.

If Ceballos comes in then that lessens the need even more.

Betis will no doubt realise this, too.

We have a few advantages to this deal:

One is Betis have already been looking at Bolstering their squad with a few 20 mill players, They failed to qualify for any European football and they don't have the TV rights advantage that for example Palace do. So far nobody else has had much real reported interest other than the odd mention, if you look at the Ndombele deal, it was similar that a few clubs were mentioned but the links were very loose with us being the firm club in, it's the same here.

Also repeatedly we are hearing that Lo Celso wants this move, again Betis don't have the same advantages that the likes of Leicester and Palace do, I can see us going in later on once a few more transfers have happened to other clubs such as Athleti which limits Betis ability to start a bidding war.

Which ITK mentioned about Levy liking a game of poker..... I think it has just started
Hercules.

None of our resident ITK have said the deal is off as far as I can remember, JJ barely said much about Ndombele yet the media were spouting some new rubbish everyday. and that went fine.

We seem to be the only club interested in GLC and I suspect Betis are actually more interested in selling him to us than we are of signing him, which is a lot because we clearly want him.

I think this is a move by us designed to make Betis shit themselves, personally.

Critical of Levy previously regarding not being realistic about asking prices but he’d be absolutely right to value him at the same price paid for Ndombele.

United won't pay £70m for him either
