I still think he will be good for us. That's probably me in denial as usual with Spurs.

Oh how I looked forward to Bale, Kane and Sonny terrorising defenders with Lo Celso and N'Dombele pulling some strings.

If he says he is fit I think we should chuck him in against City and Wolfsberger. Chances are we will lose against City and win against WB anyway. Might just gee him into action and embarrass him into a performance.

The money he’s on, and the fact our club has invested in bringing him back ought to be enough to motivate him. He’s not just been disappointing, he’s treading close to wrecking his legacy by acting like a simpering brat

Might be more to it and some mental health issues that need addressing. Appreciate he is on a fair wage though that does not mean something might be up.
It does not seem logical that he came here to mope about and Reggie said he is a changed guy in dressing room so that's a positive I thought.
Hope he finds his mojo as he knows he is back to RM otherwise. Happy to let it play out which ever way.

I don't agree with any of this.

If you didn't know Bale and you'd watched all of his appearances this season, you'd be going mental at how shit the player is. Bale is waaaaay past it. He's been utter wank and shown very little desire on the pitch.

And I'm not a Bale hater. Hes one of the best players I've seen at spurs in his pomp.

Its nothing to do with Mourinho. I find it disappointing that anyone would think Bale being shit his Jose's fault

sorry you found it so upsetting...

Gotta ask, is this the media purposely writing this or is it inside info claiming this? It’s making us, the club look bad that the manager is hanging out players to dry. Who wanna sign for us if this is the way Mourinho runs things.
Take Shaw for instance, poor under Mourinho and is now one of the better players for Manure

@Trix you heard anything? Apologies in advance if not appropriate, as you’re seen as an ITK on this forum

Shaw's been in form for a few months. Jose left them in December 2018. United signed Telles to replace him and his form suddenly kicked in. I didn't like the way he was treated by Mourinho, but suddenly finding form almost two years later doesn't prove anything.

Miss Defoe!

Yeah I loved him as a player and a personality. I still don't understand why Poch didn't bring him back on the various occasions he seemed to be practically begging for it. Couldn't have been any worse than the expensive alternatives we tried.

Who’s our next manager?

What would Reggie say? Nothing detrimental about a team mate obviously.

This whole story on every back page is a storm in a tea cup if you ask me. They all seem to be conveniently missing out that Mourinho says it could of been posted by those looking after Bale’s Instagram account and not him (They actually mentioned that on Jenas’s Radio 5 show last night). Thereby they didn’t actually know the whole story. I suspect this is the case and sounds pretty likely. Both parties may be pretty aggrieved by it and I suspect it has been sorted out as a misunderstanding.

I agree. Got to fill the papers with something and real stories take effort.

Fucks sake.

Dreamt he scored 3 worldies in cup final last night. Then woke up back to the reality that he is a waste of £1m a month, and I don't think it'll improve, he's had over half a season now to get fit etc. Gutted but he has done next to nothing to warrant starting over Lamela, Bergwijn, or even Lucas.

Harry Redknapp quote on Bale when he was Spurs manager.

"Technically, he was outstanding, but he always seemed to be playing with his hair.

"It was never right. He'd be flicking the fringe or wiping it out of his eyes and I would be going quietly mad, just watching. 'Gareth, leave your barnet alone! Gareth! Stop touching you hair!'"

"He was always getting a little knock in training, too. He'd go down then limp off and I always thought the physios made too much fuss of him," he said.

"It was the same pattern every morning. Gareth would tumble and stay there, and they'd all go running over. In the end I told them just to leave him alone."

This and the fact fact that all of the things Mourinho called Shaw out for are things that his other managers have also publicly criticised. LVG, Poch (at Soton), and Hodgeson all made comments about him having a poor attitude and being unfit etc. so it clearly wasn't just Jose being Jose with him.
