I'm aware I might sound a bit like a Liverpool fan here, but I do take a lot of pride on how our club turns a lot of our ex players into fans of Spurs.
Graham Roberts, Micky Hazard, David Ginola, Jermaine Jenas, Michael Dawson, van der Vaart, Brad Friedel etc the list goes on, but all players who weren't born locally, and played for other clubs, but left as Spurs fans. Sure there are many more, but just from top of my head.
I get the feeling that Bale is like that too, genuinely loved his time here and as his agent says, we have a special place in his heart.
Oh plenty old enough mate.
They both had a big impact by coming to England when this sort of thing had never happened before.
Point is the average non football watching house wife had no idea who they were. I mean they weren't even the biggest names from their own national team. Kempe's and Passarella were.
As far as world wide status and notoriety is concerned it isn't even debatable for me.
Here you go pal:As happy as I am that Bale is coming back I’m not sure about all this coming home and I place I want to be business. Can’t remember Bale saying anything about us since he left and he forced his move through by basically going on strike.
Spurs are simply Bale preferred choice out of the options available which is still great to be honest but let’s not pretend it’s anything more than that
Even if that's true (and I don't think it is), does it need to be more than that?!As happy as I am that Bale is coming back I’m not sure about all this coming home and I place I want to be business. Bit harsh on Levy but yeah, i'm sure he'll give him a hugSerious question though...
Is he going to cut off his galactic haircut and embrace that bald spot?
I look at Kane, he has been loyal to us, and now he is 26/27 and will also need to leave to win trophies and get the 300k a week etc.
In my lifetime, alongside Hoddle and Gazza as the best I've seen in a Sours shirt.

Gareth Bale: 'Without Real Madrid, it would have been very, very difficult to have ever left Spurs'
He is one of the brightest stars in the Real Madrid galaxy, but off the pitch Gareth Bale has his feet firmly on the ground. Now happily settled in Spain, he tells the Telegraph that he has everything he could wish for – except, perhaps, for a local branch of Nando’swww.telegraph.co.uk
This is a bullshit narrative that needs to stop. Kane has had ample opportunity to win things at Spurs. And he will again.

But Bale departs Real Madrid with former president Ramon Calderon claiming that the Wales forward’s time finishes in disappointment despite him winning the Champions League four times as he struggled in Cristiano Ronaldo's shadow.
“It happens so many times that a player who is successful in one club is not in another one. I don’t know, really it hasn’t been a successful signing, which is a pity because, as I say, the player is a very good player.

We don't know that though. Let's wait to get disappointed for just another couple of hours.
I personally can't wait. All this happiness is unhealthy.
