Still none the wiser as to what sort of deal it is??

Ah yes. Danny’s regaling them with his O level dilemma. Expect movement soon. ?
What an advert that was ?
It’s your lack of understanding on how a deal works. 90% of my clients think a deal is done when the headline points are agreed with the other side.Yeah but it's the whole goalposts moving thing which gets us like this. It's like getting to the half yard line on 2nd & goal and getting an offensive holding penalty moving you back 10 yards. Not the end of the world but could end poorly.
Only if you moved the crossbar up by about 60 feet as well...I wish goalposts did actually move, Sissoko may have scored more goals for us.
I do a similar thing for the Home Office. Lots of people want to bring in new systems and I'm the one who has to tell them, 'actually that will contravene this piece of the Data Protection Act or that part of GDPR'. The salient points of a project or deal are easy and quick to set up - you have an objective and you have a path to that objective - nice and simple. But it's about making sure you can complete that path to the objective that can be littered with issues and that's what takes time to sort out - not necessarily because there's any kind of disagreement, just people who want the same thing trying to decide the best way of resolving a question. It’s your lack of understanding on how a deal works. 90% of my clients think a deal is done when the headline points are agreed with the other side.
Why do you think everyone hates lawyers? We ask a lot of uncomfortable “what if” questions and draft lengthy documents to cover situations that never ever ever happen. No doubt some bright spark has asked “what happens if this happens” and it’s a scenario no-one has thought of.
Not a dealbreaker. Just something to be discussed.
Look at it like that drive that Montana put together against the Bengals to win it all back in 89 - imagine John Candy is at the end of the field you're driving towards - everyone loves Candy - everyone loves Bale - we'll get there Hank, try not to fret.Yeah but it's the whole goalposts moving thing which gets us like this. Isn't it sweeeeeet? So Bale has rejected United twice for us now.
LOL
See THIS is what the definition of "Spursy" should be. Its a term I hate but, my god, are we a bunch of Debbie Downers.Terrible feeling this is going to collapse now ?
As per Spurs condition of his contract , Bale will cut his hair in the unveiling video

When we sold the movie rightsfor one of my things to Sony the deal was agreed over three meetings. All good. It then took about three months of lawyers to hammer out the intricacies of the fine points.
I’m not panicking,

Has anyone made a joke about golf yet? If not, can I tee off?

It’s par for the course that there have been a few already.
