The rest of Wale’s attack and midfield was woeful. Morrell and Ampadu were being played through all match.

It was pretty consistent with his Spurs performances. A shame that overhead kick at the start of the 2nd half didn't connect...

Still think he needs to move away from the right wing and go up top or in the hole tbh ! That takes away the defending and his quality to hurt teams is second to none

A huge positive for us is how Moura is playing that role which includes him relentlessly closing down the opposition to win the ball back both high up the pitch and deeper too.

It was obvious from the start that Gareth was coming to us so he could get fit for the Euros. Wales is his priority .
He is a good and clever passer of the ball,and he will score goals. Handy for us in that respect as we only really have two who can do that.
Ideal against average to poor teams. Arsenal were easily the best team he has played against. Tierney right on top of him....disappeared and failed to help out Doherty.
Doubt very much he will come back for next season unless he drops his wages. If Zidane stays at Madrid he won’t get a look in.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Jose has convinced half the fans that every attacking players needs to be a defender ffs .... they don’t !

They don't need to be defenders but they do need to help out. This isn't just a Jose thing, every manager would expect the same, especially in a competitive league like the Prem.
If Kane and Son can do it, everyone should.
Don't get me wrong, I was chuffed to get Bale back and on his day, he can still be unplayable but I'm beginning to think we need a bit more for the team.
I want everyone to play for the shirt and I'm not so sure that he does anymore.

Poch preached high counter pressing, double training sessions, defending from the front, dying for your team mates and the badge and everyone including the fans bought into it, so what's the difference here?
We didn't have an "elite" player then, though we had a few on the way. Bale is in the same bracket as Neymar, Ibrahimovic, Hazard, et al. If you have them, you build a system that lets them do what they do best.
If we don't have that luxury, we shouldn't have wasted our time.

Bale isn't elite anyway, he was when he was in his peak a few years ago but he isn't good enough to be considered elite and we're not good enough to carry a luxury player.
Despite what you said Kane wasn't an elite player under Poch no? Poch is currently PSG manager and managing Neymar and Mbappe and yes both of them have to sacrifice for the team.
