Well noted. It’s just that I didn’t see any of his goals for Madrid apart from the CL final overhead kick.
He was incredible for them scoring almost 1 in 2. The front 3 of Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema was fun to watch when I watched their games. He struggled with injuries, Zidane, the club and the fans being assholes his last 3 seasons though. Barnett saying Madrid and their fans should worship the ground he walks on is absolutely right. Bale alone won them 2 CL finals. In his time there, Madrid won 13 trophies(including super cups snd CWC’s).

Sky saying he’ll miss the Wales games this month. Let’s hope he’s ok to return for us after the break.

Ok, maybe he won’t be on the bench against Utd. Personally I’d put him on the bench anyway even if he’s not fit. Psychological warfare init. Fuck with their heads.

He's definitely a lot leaner than he was a couple of years ago too, which probably isn't a bad thing.

Let's not jump on him if he's not the messiah after his first few games for us.

Even Jesus could only pop out a few micicales on the first day after his resurrection

Would imagine that never in his wildest dreams would he have thought that he will one day run side by side, building up the fitness of a Spurs player called Gareth Bale..
Perhaps, perhaps not. On the assumption that we’re all aiming to reach the peak of our careers, I imagine that a youth footballer (Chelsea) who took a degree in sports science probably hard working with top footballers in mind when he made his choices.

I was thinking this too. Looks like he's given up on the Ronaldo-esque physique he was going for that people speculated led to some of his injuries as his body couldn't handle the strain he was putting it under. He looks like the old Gareth again - wirey and explosive but still strong enough to bully most fullbacks.

I'm a married heterosexual male.....but those calf muscles are wondrous. :)

They are glorious, that's what calf muscles should look like too. Everyone fawns over Shaqiri/Grealish's, but they look like those chicken breasts they sell cheap that are pumped full of water.
