I know it's a bit childish to not believe it until the official statement, but we've been burned before. However things like BT doing an interview etc is as good as.

FWIW if I had to guess at what might cause a delay, I’d say approvals. Producing any content requires multiple approvals, so even with in-house teams it can be tough to get things done fast. Factoring in the significance of this signing, I’m sure it’s even worse. Every pleb in the corporate hierarchy will suddenly rate themselves a Cannes Lion winning Creative Director, insisting their pedantic feedback is the difference between global viral success and social media obscurity. Levy will no doubt be micro-managing, plus Bale’s team will also have their say. So spare a thought for the creatives and content managers who are probably having to bite their tongues as they graft like streetwalkers.
And don't forget the legal teams.

I think his signing video will be him bending his putter into the shape of a nike tick, saying 'Time to play some soccer!'. Then he takes the knee.

Question - and I don't know the answer - could you say "right, BBC/Sky/BT/Premier Sports (lol) - who wants the first interview? Answers on a postcard beginning with one of these: £"
