Ok, I am going to get carried away with this, but if it mysteriously falls through at the last minute I'm never trusting anyone again.

Can someone just come in here and quash this, just fucking destroy it, then hit it with a shovel, then chop it up finely with a large axe then sweep it up into an envelope then burn the envelope then hoover the remains and throw the fucking hoover into the Thames where it gets swallowed by one of those Whales that get lost in the Thames regularly so I can finally let go of this.

Please.

Erm......

Tottenham believe they have made a breakthrough in their bid to bring Gareth Bale back to the club.
The finer details of a deal have not yet been agreed — not least how they frame a contract when Bale has been earning a staggering £500,000 a week at the Santiago Bernabeu — but The Times understands there is growing confidence among the Spurs hierarchy that they can sign the Welsh superstar today.
Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, travelled to Madrid for talks with Madrid president Florentino Perez in an effort to secure the services of the 30-year-old forward who moved from White Hart Lane to Madrid for what, in 2013, was a world record transfer of £85 million.
Levy, this newspaper understands, went to Perez to discuss the possibility of selling Christian Eriksen to the Spanish giants. However, it was during that conversation that he expressed Tottenham’s desire to resign Bale.

Or we could sign him and then you could let it go about if we will or won't sign him :cautious:

Eh? So we've made a 'breakthrough'. All that's left are the finer details of how we afford half a million a week in wages?

I don't think The Times have the inside scoop here.
