I find it interesting that Kane won't be the guy head and shoulders above everyone now, it should have a positive effect on him to have a peer.

Son is right up there with Kane and he's the one winning our player of the year awards. The 3 of them are world class for me. They should all elevate each other.

Jose has this setup in mind?

I think 433 will be the way Mourinho goes. Yes, 5 at the back gives Doherty and Reguilon more licence from an attacking point of view and probably suits their games but think Jose will want the team to have more of a grip in midfield.

With Hojbjerg doing the sitting, he'll want the other 2 to have the ability to move the ball forward quickly. Lo Celso takes one of the positions due to his ability to move the ball and put a shift in.

The massive question mark is Ndombele. I think Mourinho knows in terms of ability on the ball, he is exactly what he wants in his midfield. Someone who can beat the press, break the lines with quality passes to the front 3 and fullbacks bombing forward. Just can't come at the cost of giving you zilch off the ball, especially in this league. If somehow he has a turnaround in that department, I think suddenly it's looking a pretty good setup.

Still got a feeling Mourinho wouldn't say no to a tall, physical all out DM who in certain games does the sitting while giving Hojberg a more industrious role in midfield. Bit like Henderson at Liverpool with Fabinho doing the sitting. Then having say one of Lo Celso or Ndombele taking the third position. Again, that would probably be for certain games where he maybe wants to keep things tighter.

But they do continue to have a relationship as they share presenters and ex presenters, pundits....Laura Woods, Jim White, Natalie Sawyer, Cascarino, Max Rushden, etc

Unsurprisingly Talksport use the Sun's reporters on stories a lot (Jiggins), Sun Head of Sport, Sean Custis on the Danny Kelly show etc.

I do feel that a 1 year loan slightly favours Madrid. If Bale does well with us Madrid might be hoping a City/Bayern/PSG come in for him next summer as they would offer better wages for us and that way Madrid could at least get some fee for him
