Believe it when I see a Loan + Obligation being mentioned
All agreed between Barça, Tottenham and the representatives of Emerson Royal. Signing when falling, so it seems
Bit harsh when they're already struggling. We're rivals not enemies. Can't we sell Doherty to the Arse?
Sky diving into the stadium pen in hand?
If I am understanding the rules right, I believe this would, in fact, be a loan + option/obligation as he was a registered Betis player when the window started. Surprising its being talked about as a permanent deal.Believe when I see a Loan + Obligation being mentioned

Could be.....His agent?
Trying to get a better contract.
No, no. I wish them all the very best of course.Bit harsh when they're already struggling. We're rivals not enemies.

You know what...If given a choice, I would dump Doherty than Aurier. We know Aurier's strength & weakness. What has Doherty brought in for us in his time. Absolutely nothing.
He’d walk straight into their starting lineup as well ?
May I ask that info posted in foreign jargon has a translation to accompany said piece.
TIA.
Barca still have the prestige, it's not inconceivable that he's always dreamed of being a regular for the first team, feels like he's a couple of steps away from achieving it and is suddenly having the rug pulled out from under him.Could be.....
Could also be Barca trying to save face a little. Everyone knows their financial issues and they have to sell. Wouldn't be the worst PR to say that even though they have to sell all the players are desperate to stay.
Or maybe it's one journo getting things wrong, and everyone else jumping on the band wagon.
Literally lots of reasons.
Fingers crossed mate ?But this happens all the time. Players holding out to the end of the window to see who else is interested. Lets see what happens.
We all knew at least one deal like this would happen when we brought in Mourinho. An ill-advised 'win-now' move that would burden the club with an ill-fitting player who couldn't be moved on that would end up out-lasting Mourinho. It was quite literally the most obvious move the club would make from day one of Mourinho's tenure.I actually can't believe how bad the Doherty signing has been. The club really made a boo boo with that one.
