But why would those Koreans go on tiktok and not twitter? It is undoubtedly boosted by the East Asian contingent but I suspect many following for that reason are indeed the younger ones and they use tiktok.
Either way Spence has made the right decision coming to us
Not saying this is the reason, but perhaps there is less usage of Twitter in Korea? I would be interested what percentage of Koreans use each platform and perhaps if there is a correlation with age. I think in the west TikTok is far more popular with younger people, whilst Facebook is more widely used by people 30+.

Can you even use Twitter with a non Latin character set? I don't care enough to find out but I suspect not which may be why it's not popular in Korea.

Can be done. But TikTok is just phenomenal in Asia, especially with the younger crowd. Even Instagram has a higher usage in Asia than Twitter is my general feeling

It’s because the puns became tiresome after maybe the 3rd or 4th one and now after 200 pages of the same boring bollocks people are using the off-topic button to let you all know that you’re maybe not the comedy genius’s you think you are. If your idea of great social company is making the same shit joke over and over you may in fact actually be the one with a lack of a sense of humour.
