Genoa are already considering making Djed Spence’s move permanent at the end of the season as the Tottenham loanee has had a promising start at the Stadio Ferraris.

Spence joined the Rossoblu on loan with an option to buy for €10m from Tottenham in January as part of the Radu Dragusin deal.

Pleased for him as I'm not sure his failure to make an impact with us was entirely his fault.

In fact I think a lot of people messed up with him.

I don't know the whole story but by many accounts he wasn't working as hard as he needed to at many if his loans and he was one of the first that Ange decided wasn't in the plans.

If you don't have the right profile that can't always be helped but if you're not working hard enough that's on you.

I just hope we have a sell on fee because in 12 months you can bet that a premier League team will come in for double his vale

Apparently he hacked off the manager at Leeds on his first day by turning up late, timekeeping seems to be a general issue with him.

Yeah he's certainly not blameless and needs to work on that a lot.

But I do think he was put on the back foot immediately when he came in.

May be the more continental penchant for more flexible timekeeping actually benefits him 😂

He's 23, so he ought to have solved his problem with timekeeping by now.
People's attitudes to times often perplexes me. I see lateness as rudeness. But so many good friends of mine just seem incapable of keeping on track of the time.

I'm sure there's some sort of psychological factor there in our attitudes to time.

Time is a social construct - maybe Djed’s 10am is our 12pm

He has broken free from societal rules

Well Italy is 1 hour ahead of the UK, so maybe they just tell to turn up at UK time!

What if he takes this attitude towards defending the back post? No wonder Ange didn’t take a chance with him.
