Now that a price has been agreed, would this not allow other interested parties know the price to submit.

Let's hope we get other parties interested so he can go somewhere he's comfortable to accept.

I think that's exactly the reason we're happy for this information to be out there.

I think we'd much rather sell to any of the other interested parties, and it's been made clear that's the price for him.

I get the moral outrage given the last couple of years from the position of the club selling to a Russian outfit, but I would be properly shocked if Sanchez agreed to go there. He earns nearly £3.4m a year, he's only 27. He could easily say no, sit on our bench for a year and then would have a wide choice of moves as a free agent in 12 months, similarly, he could say no and Spurs would loan him to a lot of clubs just to get some/all of his wages off the books.

Most likely we accept the bid to try to get other sides to match it and set a market level. As others have said, why the hell would Sanchez want to go there

Hopefully he cries it off and we can work out something better for him. Deserves better than to go out there with everything that entails with being a black player in the Russian league.

Whilst I suspect the racism is terrible there, it’s the same across a lot of countries in Europe. Vinicius Junior got a whole load of shit only a couple of months ago in Spain for example.

I certainly don’t think the level of racism would be ‘the same’. Spain isn’t a pariah state being run by a dictator losing his grip either

Nobody is forcing him to Russia. If he chooses not to go, he won’t go. Simple.

This thread reads as if the club tied Sanchez up and forced him off. It’s 100% his decision.

It's a tricky one. Is a Russian club sending money this way going to affect the war? I don't see the issue but maybe signing a player and sending money that direction is unethical.

I'm intrigued to see the outcome of this.
He deserves a chance somewhere and although he gets plenty of pelters from fans he always tried hard, unfortunately it just didn't work for him here.
Sadly, he had all of the tools to be a success, other than footballing nous.
I don't begrudge him going anywhere, even if it puts money in Russia hands

I’m amazed we aren’t trying to sell our unwanted players to the Saudis.

Levy is missing a trick here as they are lying over the odds for players and can offer them high wages.

Sanchez would be perfect for Turkey to rebuild his confidence but if not, why not try and get an offer from them?

Lloris, perisic, would be good moves financially for them and adds kudos to the league.

Just surprised none of our players are being linked.
