Losing Rose without a replacement would be incredibly negligent, no question.

He's one of our best players on his day, and one of few players (along with Kane, Winks) who's properly Spurs.

Well I think it’s pretty clear that we see Sessegnon as a LB and that’s who we want

No but Poch likes to grow his own and he arguably made Rose the player he is today in a lot of ways, so I fully trust him to do the same with another young LB.

He hasn't succeeded with Trippier or Aurier or even KWP but yeah okay. I remember Rose being good at Sunderland, Poch hasnt turned him into the player he is.

What would be the point of not taking him on tour for him not to sign for a club?!

“Yeah Danny, train by yourself and we’ll see what happens. If you’re still here when we’re back you can go back to training with the first team”.

Christ even Lukaku is away on tour with United!

Leaving him behind seriously makes us weaker when bargaining. I’d not be surprised if a deal for Rose isn’t already done if he doesn’t go on tour.

People are biased against Davies because he’s a run of the mill white guy. He’s not worse than rose and certainly more consistent as well as younger. I don’t see the point in selling Danny though, they’re plenty good enough as a pair

Ah yes the well known bias against the run of the mill white guy

Poch didn't make him player of the year at sunderland.
True but he certainly reinvigorated him at Spurs.
He wasn't very fondly thought of in the 13/14 season and by the end of the 14/15 season he was becoming a much more effective FB.

I'm not saying it's all down to Poch but he certainly got him playing more effectively.

Indeed, I’m sure CE and TA will be in our tour so why not take DR...strange!

I'm not a big fan of Trippier but he did get into the England set-up under Poch and arguably hit his best career form with us. I think he's quite a limited FB, which highlights how much Poch improved him.

Aurier has been injured far to much to judge and I think your comments on KWP are fair, although it could be argued that KWP is not good enough, time will tell.

With Rose I would guess it's a mutual decision. He wants a last big move, probably up North and Spurs want to cash in on a player approaching 30. If he doesn't get his move then he will just slot back in

Fair points.. I just marvel at that comment of Poch improving players per se. I think he is no different to any other manager in that regard. I belueve it to be a 50-50 betweentthe player and coaching set up. On KWP it seems Poch doesn't trust him much. Strange because he went and signed a new deal. The young man needs to move on for his own good.

I think this probably correct. He has made no secret of wanting to be back up North and I think we are just willing to facilitate such a move

Have to say I think we’re taking a big risk replacing experienced players such as Toby, Eriksen and Rose and just expecting a seamless transition.

I’m well aware that the Toby and Eriksen situations are not necessarily of our own making, but I just don’t understand the thinking of making more work for ourselves in now trying to replace Rose.

Sess is very raw and I’m not even sure he’s suited to play LB in a back four.

The good feeling of signing Ndombele is being replaced by a feeling that rather then pushing on, we are in fact about to enter another of Spurs’s famous “transitional” seasons.

Hope fans aren’t expecting a whole host of players to just hit the ground running and us challenging the top teams.
