Pros
Good hold up play
Nice vision for the pass
Nice moves inside the box
Good combination of power and strenght
Is used to play on ball possession teams
Works well on high pressing teams

Cons
Not top top quality
Bit of a childish character
Doesn't run in spaces between lines
A bit wasteful

Can't go wrong with this type of deal. If worth 40/50m, probably silverware related.

This is 100% Mendes bussiness. Sometimes it can be a good thing.

Hes very good imo and will do very well in the prem if he goes, physical player very strong great hold up play good finisher, just doesnt our style right now as our manager prefers mobile strikers.

I think hes the next Jimenez, we didnt mind seeing Jimenez go as he didnt start for us but he has tons of quality, very similar situation here imo. Im jus a bit worried that if he does flop for whatever reason you lot will ship him back and he wont be worth anything.

Yup hes really good imo, very strong and as you can see he put amazing numbers on very few starts, i was ripping my hair out when he was left out of the team week after week. Good hold up play, can set others up, is a good finisher, he just seems like he would do great in the premier league. We are looking to sell cause our new manager wants more mobile strikers who can press with more intensity and hes since hes not starting it wouldnt make sense to have him losing value on the bench.

Yes he is, he is basically an target striker. He as a great physic, he has a lot of efficiency in the box, is good sorrounded by players and can run with the ball. Is just that we need an striker who can in, JJ words "Atack the space", like an second striker, and for that we have Waldsmidt and Darwin, Seferovic (You can buy him) and Ramos. So for 35/45M you get a excellent backup striker to Kane,

He has been more impressive then Jimenez ever was for us and look at that guy now... there is hope.
I think he would be a very mediocre starter, but very good for a back up striker, to come in late when you need a goal or to fill in for Kane in the cup games

Some Benfica fans opinions on him(y)
Sounds good. From what I've seen of him vs. the big Portuguese clubs, he isn't just a big target man. He has very quick feet, is very spontaneous and creative with flicks and link up play, and does have some pace about him. Positioning is elite, and he scores all types of goals mostly in the area, but he's clinical. The thing that excites me the most, is that he seems to be a monster off the bench. He comes on and makes an impact, he made a lot of appearances and affected the match off the bench. It's gonna be so valuable to have someone who seemingly impressed more from the bench, even though he was also great from the start and won the golden boot in the process.

I’m really liking this loan with option route the clubs going in. Feels like a really savvy way to operate and stay competitive in the market without putting ourselves at too much risk. Really is try before you buy. If they turn out great like Lo Celso then brilliant, take the option no problem and make them permanent. If they’re more like Gedson we’ve protected ourselves from a big outlay on a player that isn’t quite up to it. Very happy with this deal.

If he does come and does well there’s no way we pay that fee just like with Gedson

unless we sell a forward for a big fee?

I have been reading a little bit about him, and it is reported Benficia wanted £46mio for him and had a £91mio release clause.

Bit of a turn around if true

Encouraging that, instead of signing a clear backup, we're signing the top scorer of the Portuguese league from a massive club to come and provide competition.

Interestingly it sounds like Gedson’s buy out clause is being decreased as part of the deal.

EDIT: not my info, but a benfica fan I know told me that
Cant say I didnt see that coming. In fact, it wouldnt surprise me at all if we sign him permanently at a lower fee either by Monday or in January.

.
I asked my Benfica supporting friend what he's like and he said this. I take them not being happy as a good sign if anything. At least he's happy with Otamendi :ROFLMAO:

I messaged my mate too.

I’m taking that to mean he’s pretty good.

Presumably they really need the cash and us loaning Vinicius doesn’t get that what they need in the short term. I remember when Levy renegotiated the Bale deal with Southampton when they needed the money too, so it wouldn’t be completely beyond the realms of possibility that we pay up earlier and at a lower fee.

I’ve done some serious #BodyLanguage research and this guy looks to be very confident (high marks for celebrations, confident struts, quality mix of smiling and stern-face looks, and hand motions during celebrations). I like that for a guy coming to backup a superstar like Kane.

It's like we're finally signing Leandro Damiao but hopefully he'll turn out to be good!

Lol then this from the same source.

Now says it was 89mio and different clubs wanted him than in the original article.

Obviously talksport is more like talkshit.

Would be a great signing.

Also be so nice to be able to give kane a rest midweek if we qualify for the group stages and have him more fresh for the PL :woot:
