Clubs have wised up to Levy & are now taking him to the woodshed. He is cooked & so are we. Massive overpay. And a sell on to boot! Horrible deal.

I have concerns over the Johnson signing and I think there is a significant risk that he ends up more deadwood. But if Ange does really want him (and I guess that is the question) then this is definitely a case of Levy backing the manager by overpaying which massively goes against his MO - so credit where credit is due if so. Can't accuse him of penny pinching in this case.

Absolutely delighted with Johnson signing.
In todays market, its next to impossible to find good right footed right wing forwards. In last 10 yrs, left footed right wingers been the norm everywhere. So, he does IMO brings something unique.
In this Ange system ,really believe his ability to take the ball outside and whip it in or cutback going to be so crucial.

He's the sort of player i'd look at throwing straight in on the right to give him a confidence boost. Start him for a few and see if he can up his game to match the level of club he's now playing for.

M sure we've heard he's accepted him but was pushing for someone else rather than wanted him. The board were pushing for BJ.

Had we not got him today a lot of the same people would be having a real go at Levy.

Had a decent if unspectacular first PL season in a very poor team.

I can be open minded on this one. Look forward to seeing what he can do as part of our forward line.

Just keeps getting higher. Think it's a pretty massive overpay personally, but if Ange was desperate for him then I guess I hope I'm wrong.

People need to realize that this is the market now. Chelsea just spent 45m on a kid that's barely ever played for City. Academy products are going for 15-20m. Mount with 1 year left on his contract was 60m. Even Maddison who was considered a "bargain" was 40m with only 1 yr left on his contract.

The market is inflating and I'm actually glad we're not being left behind while also not going overboard like Chelsea. Can't criticize Levy for not spending and then also get mad when we spend. The most important thing is Ange wants him - it's not our job to worry about the price.

Some people will never be happy, I can't say I'm super excited but I can't be incessantly moaning on here all day about everything the club does and there has been too many players that have surprised and let us down

People are going to be really upset if we bring in 3 on deadline day as that will greatly upset the narrative, so it'll shift to either "too expensive" or "just getting bodies in, they're not the players I wanted"

Don't worry Levy is a helmet in many other ways so we have plenty of ammunition either way
