Ummmm yeah I doubt that.no one would be complaining if Johnson is the one Ange preferred

no one would be complaining if Johnson is the one Ange preferred, but it seems that he isn't
We had itk from prof on COYS the other day that our first choice winger was going elsewhere, the second choice was too expensive, and that we’d likely be moving on number three. So that tracks with what you’re saying here.Well ITK also said that Ange rates Brennan, maybe the other options arent as attainable or maybe this is a good deal for the club and manager? We have a bloated squad which Ange has mentioned as well.
To be fair here it's not just "Ange's list" that needs consideration. As long as he's not against it and it ticks other boxes it's something that has to be considered. You can't just go out and buy everyone the manager wants, and this one is seen by certain people at the club as a win win.
As I say I hope Gabaninni wins this one, but that's purely because I don't want him myself.
Son?where do the goals come from? We’ve done wel so far, but we need a life class cf to try fill the void Harry left. Now I’m not saying orban is that, cos he probably isn’t - but we need someone capable of 15/20 goals.
gonna be a loooooooong week I think.
Reckon if he was another nationality and playing in a league on the continent people would have a different feeling about him. 50M is too much though.
I’d love for that and yeah the son of 2 seasons ago I’d say absolutely, but last seasons son & the start of this season, I don’t think so. He seems to of lost a bit of pace which was one of his strongest attributes.Son?
Where’s the premier league tax with spence, Davies, dier etc?50m is what Forest want - not we will pay.
Also, even if Johnson has a decent 3 yrs with us scores like 30 goals in 3 seasons, because of PL tax ,at his age of 25, we will recoup that money. The higher valuation works both ways

Swap deals are notoriously difficult.More to it than that. Players going the other way need to agree and not prefer to go elsewhere where the money doesn't add up for us. Then it's a case of lining up all the fee's to suit both clubs etc. Multi player deals are always a pain even if they are all listed as seperate transactions. With how long that's left in the window it won't be easy.
On top of that the player identification team are pushing other options. Could get pretty messy. Best case scenario is we sell elsewhere and buy someone different, but then I don't want him, so I accept that might not be best case in everyone's eyes.
Take all of it with a pinch of saltI just find it odd as earlier in the week itk was saying Ange wanted Johnson. Now the overall tone of potential transfer has been negative from day 1 and now all of a sudden it’s a “Levy signing” to further create negativity around Levy and Johnson.
Levy once again using £ as the measuring stick.Levy probably sees it is a win-win as we can get rid of some deadwoods while we get Johnson, however it is a financial perspective instead of football as usual
People get so emotional and repetitive on here without knowing the full facts, it’s happened all window .
Ange himself has said expect some movement, he’s said there is a need to be flexible and fluid during a transfer window and that by the end of it he’s sure we will have the majority of what he wanted.
I get that Levy meddling in the past etc has screwed us but I trust this time that Ange will be very clear and realistic in what he wants and that all will be ok.
I think if he was a different nationality we wouldn’t even be looking at him in the first place.Reckon if he was another nationality and playing in a league on the continent people would have a different feeling about him. 50M is too much though.
I think people still have the idea that Postecoglu wants this or that one player like Conte but I don't believe that's the case at all. Postecoglu wants players for roles and has a selection of options that he's ok with and the deal makers then make the best deal and if that is Brennan Johnson in return for shifting some excess squad members thats all well and good.
Particularly if it opens up squad space for another deal, a CB for instance.
