Comment wouldn't look out of place coming from those self entitled new generation millenials.

I’m not sure how what I said was self entitled. But would you like this millennial to explain push notifications, their best practice and what a millennial is to the (I assume) boomer?

I think he’s suggesting that your ambivalence (with a hint of antipathy) towards rewarding someone who has been a very good player for us comes across as a bit spoilt.

That’s how I read his post anyway. Note: not saying I agree.

Davies relished his regular game time in the team in the 2017/18 season as Danny Rose recovered from a long-term knee injury. The Welshman discovered his creative side and by the end of the campaign had created more chances than any other defender in the Premier League.

Goes to show that being the top assisting defender in the league that season wasn’t just the luck of having a 31 goal striker to aim for, Davies was actually creating chances by the bucketload. Not bad for a one paces player who contributes nothing to our attack...

I thought he was older than twenty six for some reason.

He's one of the unsung players in the squad - solid, dependable and rarely makes a mistake. He seems like a nice guy as well.

A lot of traditional full backs are. He's like Denis Irwin... just does his bloody job.

This guy is so bang average. Modern day Ben Thatcher. Southampton, Watford, Bournemouth level at best. No idea what he actually excels at.

As a back up I don’t think he’s the worst but first choice we need better

Got totally left in the shit today imo. Got zero help from Sonny or Dele, and was forever having two to defend.

But just like the other side, no matter who's defending, the urgency and effort to stop the cross is pathetic every week.

Loves a pass back to the centre half. After six years still doesn’t want to or can’t take any responsibility. Would much rather be carried by other players. We need to get Sessegnon starting. He might make mistakes but at least he’ll try and be proactive. That back four today was horrible.

How much do we think we could we get for this guy? I'd ship him off as part of the January rebuild. At least Rose can carry the ball down the flank. He does nothing and I think he was just bailed out by peak Verts during his time with us. Guy is stuck in mud.

He just can't play on the flank for us. If we keep him I'd rather see him playing CB.

He’s a massive improvement on Rose, when Danny’s playing were never more than 2 minutes from some kind of calamity. So much wrong with our play at the minute but people are digging out Davies? Ffs

Until Sess has a bad game and Rose is everyone's favourite again.
Well that’s why people are suddenly believing that a bang average Davies needs to start. It’s the same with Dier, they don’t play but we play shit and suddenly they become good players. Neither is good enough for us.
Granted Rose has been dreadful this season but given the choice it’s Rose over Davies all day for me.
Its easy to slate Rose when he’s up against Liverpool and City, but Davies has looked no better against far inferior opposition. We badly need an upgrade in January

Just play Sess. Both Rose & Davies are not good enough.

With our persistent to not play Moura and play Son all over the shop, reverting you wingbacks for our pace and width is a bloody good idea but only if we play Sessegnon and KWP.

Davies - sloth
Rose - atrocious going forward
Aurier - put some decent balls in but crap most of the team and a liability at the back
Foyth - promising full back but too defensive minded to excel as a wingback, also lacks the pace of KWP.

Granted KWP isn’t the best defensively but he’s decent going forward and will have 3 CB’s behind him with Sissoko dropping off to break up opposition attacks.

........................ Gazzaniga ...........................
.... Foyth........... Sanchez....... Vertonghen .....
KWP...... Sissoko.... Ndombele....Sessegnon
......................... Lo Celso ..............................
.................... Kane ...... Son ..........................

Austin, Aurier, Dier, Winks, Alli, Lamela, Moura

If he has to play, we should play him as a left centre back. Poor old Dier looked so uncomfortable playing there.
