Parker...

But Kaboul, Bale and Adebayour have had excellent 1st half of the season performances.

Friedel has been exactly what we needed, consistent and generally out of the limelight. Nothing fancy, just a consistently stable presence at the back, allowing others to perform.

It is Parker, without doubt. As already mentioned not just for his diligent defensive work but his effective passing in the middle, coupled with Modric's influence has seen us dominate many a game so far.

Adebayor has been instrumental to the team dynamic and he's done well but if we are assessing the biggest contribution, individually, it has to be Parker. He has ran himself into the ground for us.

Most of the OP's suggestions are credible candidates and all deserve a mention but completing my top 3 would be Kaboul and Bale. The former has been a rock, so dominant with so few mistakes thus far...his concentration and decision making have improved considerably.

Bale has goals and assits aplenty this season, he's mixing it up more and has real end product on a consistent basis now.

1) Parker
2) Kaboul
3) Bale

Top 6
1. King
2. Kaboul (really on course to be named Spurs Player of the season)
3. Modric
4. Bale
5. Adebayor (understated)
6. Parker (IMO overstated)

Mentions to Assou-Ekotto and Walker.

Parker for me, as he was exactly what we have been missing for a long time now. Other than that I think the whole team has been pretty outstanding. Special mention for Lennon, who I think was really getting back to his best before he got injured.

Definitely Parker. Though Kaboom, Walker, Friedel and Bale all deserve mentions. Bale's improvement this season especially has been amazing IMO.

my default answer is King but with more thought my vote was kaboul. Bore the brunt of most of the season so far with different partnerships. his passing, tackling , heading and clearnaces stats are pretty unbelievable.
He's had more off games than king or parker but under meriteed circumsances has been more important that either in many games.

Modric gets a mention. hell of a pre-season to deal with and then does what he has done this season. the amount of the ball that goes through him and to keep a pass completion average up in the mid 90's is superb.

Bale and Lennon both proved many doubter wrong with progressively better form.

Freidle has been steady which that alone hs contributed massively to us.

This is so hard this season. Parkers been superb, and King seems to make us unbeatable but I've gone for Bale - he always seems to be the player that finally makes the breakthrough.

C0YS - Did you miss putting Lennon in your overview on purpose? He's been pretty important for us this season and we seem to be missing him a lot at the moment.

We are missing him, but he started the season poorly, also he has played only half of the games this season, through no fault of his own. Keeping these two things in mind having 5/6 good games so far is not enough for me to consider him a serious contender. Defoe also deserves a mention this season, but again his role in the fringes of the team limits him

I think this shows the strength in depth of our squad. Lennon and Defoe have no votes. The latter has a 1 in 2 goal to game ratio. The former has a 1 in 2 goal/assist to game ratio. Ten years ago we'd have been crying had either got injured.

Surely ade is the 6 yard king!? Has he scored a goal from more than 6 yards out yet for us?

Parker has been superb not only in his performances but his influence has turned us into stubborn resiliant team.

I know why Parker is leading this poll, and he is probably the main reason why we are doing so well, but I am just so impressed with Kaboul. He really has progressed, him and Kompany are the two best centre backs in the country for me right now. Pace, power, strength, great tackling ability, he has owned pretty much everyone in the air this season, he can make forward runs with the ball, apart from the City game I can't remember him making a mistake, immense.
