1. Parker (because he has made the biggest difference to our team)
2. Bale (because he has been out best attacking player)
3. Adebayor (because he has upgraded our whole attack)
4. VDV (because he has been outstanding)
5. King (because he has played more and whenever he plays we are a better team)

Kaboul, Friedel, Modric and Walker all could easliy have been in the top five too, players like Sandro and BAE have also been great, there are no actual weak links in our first team now and even Defoe who was poor last year has been key to our successes this season.

Scott Parker for me. He has been truly outstanding so far and his performances have brought out the best in those around him. It's been a great first half of the season for so many players though.

Kaboul.

I would have picked Adebayor if he didn't waste so many chances and spend half the time offside.

Although we have done well going forward we're a long way off the goal tally of the 2 Manchester sides, the big difference to our side this year has been the goals conceded.

As a result it's a toss up between Parker and King for me with Kaboul running them close.

As far as which player I have enjoyed watching the most it's usually Modric but this season VdV has edged him out as he seems to have become more commanding in the final 3rd.
Most of what is good in and around the box revolves around what Raphael does and with more teams parking the bus this has become more important.

Has to be Parker, has done the dirty work and allowed the rest of the guys to play.

1. King - don't think he'll lose a game all season. Would've won at Newcastle, Stoke and Swansea with him in the side
2. Parker - King-like presence in CM due to his commitment, experience and general solidness.
3. Bale - Somewhat inconsistent, can do even better but is still the most important attacking player
4. Modric - Hasn't been 100 % and struggle somewhat without the luxury of having Parker (and sometimes both him and Sandro) next to him but still absolutely pivotal and the best player we have apart from King
5. Lennon - Could've been everyone else in the first 11 - VDV closest in my book - but Lennon gets it for the way he stormed into the team among skepticism from fans and played the most efficient football of his career. With him and Bale on the wings we're so amazingly difficult to stop.

First 2 games: Chirpy
Next 12 or so games : Parker
Last few games : Kaboul

So, Parker, but his old (!) legs have been getting tired of late (like many), hopefully he will get his wind back.

All of the 1st 13 ("first 11"+Sandro and Defoe) have been from very good to excellent most of the time. Signings Freidel, Parker and Ade have had a massive influence on our play.

Modric at his best is Xaviesque. Kaboul will become one of the great defenders of his generation.

Parker and Kaboul definitely deserve honourable mentions but much as I hate to vote for him after last summer's shenanigans Modric has remained our most important player. He is irreplacable in our team and if he had chosen to sulk rather than play we would probably be in 6th place rather than our current heady heights.

Parker for me so far, but if Ledders manages a few more games in his usual commanding style I would probably have to go with him.

The best of the rest for me is Kaboul, he is really starting to look the part.

Our first 11 (plus Defoe, Sandro and Gallas) have all been great to be honest. Hard to choose a "best" player out of those, but I think the biggest influence has come from Parker.

Who the hell voted for Pav and GDS?!?!?

The thing about this year has been that for the first time in a long time there are stand out, consistent performances coming in various areas of the pitch. Parker has been the engine room for much of the season, in Adebayor we at last have a fulcrum, Modric continues to keep us ticking over nicely most weeks, Kaboul has arrived as a real deal at the heart of the defence, Bale is having his most consistent and productive season but the most important player for me has been VDV.

VDV is the the combination of industry and craft that turns a good side into a great one. He sees nearly as much ball as Modric, regularly making 50/60+ passes per game, will drop and provide an outlet to midfielders and defenders looking for an out ball, but also adds incision, cutting edge and a cool head round the box. In short he adds several dimensions to our play, all of them quality. And he's even been helping Walker out lately.

He's our twilight zone, our Al Capone, our rolling stone and our Eva Peron, and I like it.

Parker.

Honourable mention to Kaboul.

As someone pointed out, we don't lose when Ledley plays.

Lots of good performaces.

Going with Kaboul for his ironman status in our backline, even through our crap foray in the Europa league.
