Wtf I swear people just add more and more stuff onto what JJ said. He has never said a ‘favourite 1st team player will leave’.

Okay wise one...what were his actual words. I dont mind being wrong on this one...but if you going to disagree then provide the exact quote.

Edit..found it. "if you all knew who will be leaving this summer you would and wouldn't be surprised"

For once you were right:cautious:.

I think Rose being so out of favor counts as a “surprise” for most - maybe also someone being willing to pay for Janssen!

Doesn't make any sense to me. If we really thought we had a chance of pulling this transfer off we would be trying to keep it under wraps. Thos feel more like a broadcast it everywhere so we can show we tried.

True, it could be like when Levy was running round Europe with a wheelbarrow of cash trying to sign augero, Rossi etc OR it could be being leaked because it’s close.

Read one or two on here saying they prefer to keep Eriksen....
Are you fucking kidding me???
Dybala in and we are title contenders for real.
What I like about this window is we are finally going for real quality....

Yes you're right. Didn't think of Rose as the player at the time. He is a favourite of mine for sure. But I remember reading those words and Thinking Dier and Dele. I suppose the brain goes to the extreme, at least in the case of Dele but i remember him being so frustrating this season and being rather ordinary and my guesses went in that direction. So classic case of 2 + 2 = 5.

Plus they play in different positions!

It’s not linked to eriksen at all. More likely what happening is what some itk have alluded to would happen once we were in the new stadium plus it’s levy backing his manager.

Why keep a player who doesn’t want to be here?
He seems fairly happy on the pre-season tour, and from reports, is happy to stay if neither of the Spanish giants come in for him. I'd rather see the club spend any Eriksen money on a DM and defender in any case. Make the squad more complete.

Dybala seems unnecessary given that he plays as a second striker, we don't play 4-4-2 anymore. No one does. The poor bloke is best-suited to a position that basically doesn't exist in modern football, unless you're Stoke or burnley. It's why he's been average over the past couple of years, Juve play the 4-3-3 like every other big club and he isn't as adaptable to that formation. He could play in a 4-2-3-1 behind the striker but then that's where Eriksen and/or lo Celso, Alli, and Lamela all play their best football. Having depth is good but that seems like overkill

If this is done and GLC. Eriksen must surely go, there is no way we would keep him imo, not just financially but in terms of Poch keeping players like that happy not playing

So I'm not believing any of this... Where would he play? Do we drop Dele or Son who score more than he does. I also don't want to lose Moura, love his energy. He'll be massive this season.

I won't believe it.... Just like I didn't believe the Tanguy Ndombele rumours... I must admit I agreed with LeParisien or whatever his user name was... Just wasn't brave enough to say it.

Why are people saying we should keep Eriksen rather than signing Dybala like it’s somethubg we have in our control? Eriksen wants out. Players like Lo Celso and Dybala would certainly soften any blow. Fingers crossed

This would undoubtably be the biggest Spurs signing in my lifetime if it happened, can't remember us going in for a major superstar like this. The price and the shirt sales alone should have Levy at least considering it.

Unfortunately, I highly doubt it will happen though. It would be too perfect.
