One minute walking off into the sunset in a mood when being subbed ...then back on the bench when we went 2-1 up?!

This guy's heart isnt in the club surely?

Extreme disappointment that he was taken off. Nothing more. Bet he understood the decision once he'd calmed down a bit.

Nothing worth holding against him. He's just the sort of person who will react badly when subbed (unless he's injured) because he always wants to play.

Let's not make something of nothing.
He was annoyed at being subbed in a Cup Final.

He walked down the tunnell, then came back out on the bench. Was probably best he had that time to cool down so he didn't do something he regretted.

Nothing in it.

I'm with the Rabbi on this one. Coming back out was good, but Chimbo's head is what keeps him from realizing his potential. He did play great today, though, and deserved to be celebrating.

cup final everyone is desperate to play

maybe his injury had something to do with it to?? not sure

glad he was as delighted as the rest at the end though

i was quite pissed he took an age to get off though as we were trailing still at that time

Yea, afterall, it was a very eomtional game... Against Chelsea no less. Some hndle emotion better than others.

And he did a fantastic job today out of position. Still a much better RB than Hutton. Anyone still disagree?

Glad Chimbo came bk out to celebrate, good on him!

Sod that its a cup final and we were losing with Chelsea time wasting and this tosser strolls off the pitch like the games over because he's been subbed off.

He then ignores his team mate no goodluck, handshake just storms off. He played well today and no doubt he has ability but winning teams are not made by players with his attitude... if it did we wouldn't have just signed 2 rightbacks in January!

That's the weird thing, he did that then just walked off! It was all him before the club and that really annoys me!

Still, we're winners and so I'm happy

As Yanno pointed out in another thread, Ricky Villa stomped off down the tunnel in similar high dudgeon after Keithy subbed him in the first '81 final. And we know what happened in the second, don't we?

It was hard for Chimbo to take as, unlike Ricky, he'd had a good game; bringing the Hudd on was no reflection on him, just a brilliant tactical decision. That probably took a little while to sink in.

Hmmmmmmm I have plenty to add to this, however, today is not the day for it.

It probably isn't. But I think if I'd been having a pretty good game and was taken off I'd take it, in the first place, as an undeserved criticism of me and be pretty hacked off. I don't think there can be too many people who didn't think 'WTF?' when the Hudd came on.

The point is, you have faith in the manager, regardless of his decisions. Everything Ramos has done so far has shown he makes good choices, so there's no reason to doubt him, as a fan or player. Would have been very interesting to see what Chimbonda's post-match comments had been and how he would have reacted had we lost the game, is all I'll say. I was very angry at the time as I thought it was very disrespectful. But it all turned out OK because we won.

I'm going to believe he needed a dump and that was wy he didn't rush off and jump and hug people. He didn't want to shake anything loose.

But after offloading he came back and sat with the team as is right

I was actualy pleased he did go off. I was saying on more than one occasion in the second half, when we were pushing on, that our advances down the left were halted each time Chimbo stopped and cut back tp lay inside or pass back to the CBs.

Notwithstanding the fact he did ok as a LB, I was lamenting his inability to use his left foot. By going three at the back we looked better balanced.
