Just as well this is only the first leg and we have a home match, with a much stronger XI still to come.
However, to have NO experience on the bench is a big mistake.

Not a huge amount between the 2 sides, hopefully Nuno can tweak it so we present a bit more threat in the 2nd half.

I’ve notice how none of our players can take the ball on the half turn. They’re never side on when receiving the ball so can’t see the pitch.

10 mins we looked great then, a pile of turd afterwards.

Midfield can't keep the ball or even pass it.Winks just stinks and ar fault for the goal, even though the defence still should have dealt with it by meh.
Feel sorry for Dane made some nice.runs and no one even looking .....43rd min until someone spotted his run and he showed strength to hold the ball up and lay it off.

Got to control that midfield and look for the runs in the second half.
Hopefully Nuno gives them a kick up the arse

Not happy with the strategy.

To go away from home chucking together 11 players who haven't played together in an unfamiliar formation is folly.

Fuck knows, the guy’s a tool who sits neg repping anything vaguely critical of Kane or Pochettino.

I’ve put him on ignore.

What a childish comment and from some who overreacts a lot, but yes please put me on ignore if your gonna act like that!!??

Far too early to be panicking, they don’t look great (saying that neither do we  )

We have more than enough to turn this around just need to approach the 2nd half with more energy and purpose.

Winks couldn't pass water and CCV being lazy by standing with his hand up piss poor. Nuno needs to realise very quickly that Winks and CCV cannot be part of the club anymore and get rid of them for whatever price. Bring on some of the other kids they can't be any worse than these 2 plonked.

PLEASE GET WINKS OFF AND OUT OF THE CLUB.

agreed mostly, think Gil has been decent, at least he looks to make something happen.

add Lo Celso to the disappointing list - I still don't really know what he does.

Yet plenty will be moaning on the match thread when Dele starts in front of him on Sunday

he’s awful doesn’t have the mentality to play at the top level looks like a lost boy.

This is his first game back after a year of loans and injuries.

To make sweeping statements about him not having the mentality to play at the top level based on that, while ignoring the fact he literally scored in the Champions League against Bayern, is absolutely ridiculous.

I assume you also missed him sprinting back to our box and making a diving tackle to stop them scoring early on, because that wouldn’t have suited the narrative of writing him off after 45 minutes.

Romero doesn't look good, going to put it down to being off the pace because of coming back from an injury and hope he gets better!

Sess looks lost and gives the ball away a lot, winks is the usual, shouldn't be here anymore, John doesn't look like he's ready, GLC ok, Gil looks promising but generally this is all very familiar.

Not sure why we can't play for shit in these European competitions.

After a promising first 10 minutes we looked pretty clueless after that. 11 strangers on the pitch - there's just zero chemistry.

You could tell Nuno had started to coach the system, but with that many players unaccustomed to playing together it was always going to be tricky. So many loose passes under no pressure and moments of miscommunication.

Yeah. It looks like what it is. A team that’s never played together before.

The goal is a shared blame between Winks, CCV & Romero. Sloppy from Winks initially, CCV is tracking him and when he runs across him he let's him go. From playing many years of football, all you do there is give your CB partner a shout, pass the player on and they track the player. I'm guessing due to Romero's lack of English, there was clearly a lack of communication.
Gil a bright spark but it's been very poor. Sess looks miles off it and I never want to see Doherty in a Spurs shirt again!

Awful performances from Doherty, CCV, Winks, Sessegnon and Lo Celso

Three new signings trying to bed in as well.

Feel really sorry for John and Scarlett as they're playing OK but being let down by the experienced players.

The back 3 isn't helping matters either. I have to admit that I worry every time we play that formation and with good reason.

Lo Celso looked poor when he came on against City and worse still here. Winks and John letting game pass them by.

Romero off pace, guess some players just not match fit and it's showing.

Gil, Davies look our best players. Early in the game with the space behind them Sess, Doherty, gil should have been in behind constantly.
