Nuno took a massive gamble by taking such an incredibly weakened group out there. We should at least have Son, Dele, Lucas, Bergwijn etc. on the bench for exactly this situation. It’s as though he’s willing to completely write off this competition even though the coefficient points will be massively important once the new CL qualification rules come into play.

He isn't. Losing here would be covered by a comfortable home win if he wants.

Why are you all collectively losing your shit? It's largely the 2nd string in a god awful tournament. This isn't even remotely comparable to the Premier League and our chances of success this season. Had this been the first team we'd be out of sight.

What are Sessegnon's strengths? Genuine question. We tracked him for 3 years. What is he supposed to be good at?

Not because he is a newbie but thought Gary Breen was harsh blaming that on Romero. Its Winks losing the ball and a half hearted tackle (where have we heard that before) and then CCV inexplicably trying to play the offside.

Looks like a first pre-season workout (which I suppose it is for some)
Hopefully we will grow into the game but not confident.
Seems very unprepared to put this team out in a European competition against a team that finished fifth in Portugal. even if it is two legs.

I thought Romero was stepping up to the ball as ccv had the man, but ccv just let him go and everyone was caught in no man's land.

yeah I suppose within a back 3 in that situation Romero is accustomed to going out and challenging the man with the ball and having cover behind him, problem was CCV just stood next to him, just a complete mix up

Is that not taking a big risk? Who’s to say we’ll just be able to snap our fingers and turn the tie around.

It's hard to judge players individually when it's all so disjointed. None of them have looked like playing their way into the first team, however. But along side a proper squad I think each individual would look better.

Hopefully just a lack of match sharpness.

I thought Winks was alright though? Carter vickers probably the only one I'd suggest looks out of his depths.

I think your bang there (bar the winks part), the only hope is some players will show a few flashes of their ability and show they are trying
